Welcome and thank you so much for allowing me to guide you in today's meditation on resilience.
Many ancient healing traditions acknowledge that maintaining our connection to the fundamental
laws of nature can enable us to harness its support and move through life with frictionless
action.
Let's begin.
As you settle into a comfortable position,
Whether seated or lying down,
I invite you
first to take a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through your mouth.
Allow your body to sink into a settled and calm state of awareness.
Repeat this a few times,
Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly.
And if you haven't already,
Gently close your eyes and notice as the breath flows freely
through your body.
Allow it now to become slower and more rhythmic with each passing moment.
As you continue to become more attuned,
Notice the physical sensations that it creates.
Notice how your chest rises and falls with each inhale and exhale.
Feel the air as it moves in and out of your nose and your mouth.
Shift your awareness now to your thoughts.
Notice any emotions that arise without judgment or criticism.
Simply acknowledge their presence and let them go.
Allow them to pass like clouds in the sky.
As you continue to breathe,
Visualize yourself at the base of a majestic mountain.
The mighty mountain symbolizes strength and resilience.
Feel the solid ground of the earth beneath you,
Supporting and cradling you in your seat.
Sense the stability and the strength as it radiates up from the earth.
With each inhale,
Draw this radiating strength into your being and with each exhale,
Release
any tension,
Worry or doubt.
Now visualize yourself slowly starting to walk a path up the mountain.
Engage your sense of sight.
Notice the greenery of the leaves and the colors of the forest flowers.
Engage your sense of touch as you feel the textures of the bark on the trees.
Engage your sense of smell and inhale the scent of the forest floor.
Engage your ears,
Listen to the birds and the wind as it blows through the trees.
As you continue to ascend,
Notice the many rocks and boulders along the way.
These are obstacles that you must overcome.
With each boulder you encounter,
You remind yourself,
You are one with the mountain.
You are strong.
You are resilient.
You are the rock.
You are the boulder.
And you step over these obstacles with ease.
Now visualize yourself reaching the summit.
Take a moment to pause and look around.
Soak in the vastness of the sky,
The expansiveness of the view.
Allow this expansiveness to permeate your being,
Connecting you to all that is surrounding
you.
Feel the warmth of the sun on your face as it charges your whole being.
Inhale deeply,
Fill your lungs with the fresh mountain air and exhale fully,
Releasing any
remaining worries,
Tension or doubt.
I invite you to sit in this feeling of connectivity and support for just a few moments.
And when you're ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes and then gently open your eyes.
I hope that you carry the sense of strength and resilience with you throughout your day,
Knowing that you are one with the mountain,
Strong and unshakable.
Namaste.
