Welcome to this guided meditation on dispelling travel anxiety.
My name is Joy and I will be guiding you in today's meditation.
To begin,
Take a seat or lay down.
Get comfortable and then close your eyes.
To calm our body and mind.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold for three seconds at the top.
And then exhale out in a large sigh.
Continue these breaths for one minute.
Let your breathing return to normal now.
Before you is a blanket.
It's soft.
Warm and a little heavy.
Pick it up and wrap it around yourself.
As you imagine this blanket around you.
Sense into how it feels.
The sight pressure or weight of it,
The comfort,
The warmth.
This blanket around you begins to emit a calming energy that forms around you and moves through you.
It's a light pink energy.
Filling you up inside.
You are full of this calming,
Light pink energy.
So much so that it is now around your body as well.
Creating a bubble of calmness.
Let your jaw relax.
Your shoulders relax.
Let your hips relax.
Your leg.
If invasive thoughts arise,
Let them drift away like clouds.
See them bounce off your bubble of calmness.
Now,
I want you to picture yourself arriving at your destination.
Moving slowly.
Taking your time.
Asking for help if you need it.
You are empowered.
And know you have control of how you will move through this.
Take a moment to picture and feel into this.
Give gratitude for all that has happened here.
Know the bubble of calmness can stay with you.
Simply picture it whenever you need it.
Bring your awareness back to your body.
Slowly begin to move and open your eyes.
