The Blue Lotus, founded by Venerable Bhante Sujatha, is a welcoming community temple based in Woodstock, Illinois, just outside of Chicago. We open our doors — and our hearts — to people of all backgrounds and faith traditions to practice meditation, learn about Buddhism, and share in community together. Our commitment is simple: to practice compassion in all that we do and to add more love to the world. Guided by Buddhist principles, our mission is to nurture peace of mind, compassion for all beings, and spiritual growth through loving-kindness meditation and mindful awareness.
