Welcome to this grounding practice led by Bri.
This is perfect to use as a daily practice or as a practice when you are feeling a little disconnected.
Grounding can help you to feel safer,
To release energy,
Feel connected,
And stay present in your life.
When we are not grounded,
We can feel disempowered,
Suffer from anxiety,
Lack of sleep,
And just feel blah about our lives.
So let's cozy in.
You can do this practice seated or lying down.
If you're seated,
Align yourself so your spine is a long,
Straight,
Beautiful highway of energy from root to crown.
If you are lying down,
Tuck your chin to allow for energy to flow from the crown to the root as your neck is a beautiful extension of the spine.
Once you're comfortable and have made final adjustments,
Begin to tune inwards,
Listening to your breath,
This sweet,
Gentle breath moving in and out of your lungs,
Replenishing each cell of the body without even having to think.
Begin to deepen your breath,
Breathing in for a count of 4,
3,
2,
1,
And out for 4,
3,
2,
1.
Repeat this for a few moments as you begin to see a forest,
Smell the fresh air,
And see the trees all around you.
Hear the birds and all the animals of the forest and begin to walk through the forest on a long dirt path.
Taking in your surroundings and the beauty around you,
You continue walking until you can see an opening.
As the opening gets closer,
You begin to see a big,
Beautiful clearing with luscious green grass and flowers.
You decide to sit and then lay in the grass.
Feel your connection to the earth beneath you,
The pulse of the mother in rhythm with yours.
Feel a tingling where you connect with the earth and feel long roots begin to grow out of you and deep into the soil.
Your roots grow deep down into the earth and you begin to feel the earth's loving energy.
Allow for a transference of energy through these roots.
With every breath in,
Draw from the mother love,
Kindness,
And patience.
And with every out breath,
Release any negative or stagnant energy which no longer serves you.
Allow for this transference,
Breathing in love,
Kindness,
And patience,
And breathing out negativity and stagnation.
Breathing in love,
Kindness,
And patience,
And breathing out negativity and stagnation.
Breathing in love,
Kindness,
And patience.
Breathing in love,
Kindness,
And patience.
Once you feel as though you've been replenished,
You may begin to come back to the room you're in by wiggling your fingers and toes,
Rolling the ankles and the wrist joints,
And blinking the eyelids open.
Take a deep breath in and feel free to stay in the meditation if you need more time.
Allow yourself to take this grounded feeling,
This connection with mother earth with you through the day.
Stop to feel your feet firmly planted on the earth.
Allow the roots to grow into mother earth through the day and come back to this meditation whenever you need a little grounding.
I love you.
Namaste.
