Laughter is good for the soul. In this meditation, relax your body, ease your mind, and remind yourself of a time when you laughed. Take a moment to fully emerse yourself in that laughter and let the joy from it fill your body with energy. Laugh out loud with me.

Find an easy seat,

Rest your muscles,

Relax your jaw.

Ease your shoulders down your back.

Take a few easy breaths in,

Slow and steady.

As you release those breaths,

Allow the thoughts to leave your mind as well.

Put them somewhere on a shelf.

With a clear mind,

Think of the funniest thing that has ever happened to you.

Something that really made you laugh out loud.

Maybe it was something recent or long ago.

Something that brought you a bellowing laugh in your belly.

Making your eyes tear up,

Your smile grow as wide as your face.

Sit with that memory for a moment and remember how great it felt to laugh,

How relaxed you were after,

And how energized you felt.

Take in all that energy,

All that joy,

Ease,

And comfort,

And let it overcome you right now.

Maybe even laugh again.

Take another deep breath.

As you ease out of that,

Hope you find something to make you laugh today.

And remember to store up for a time such as this.
