Welcome to this space for the next few minutes.

Together we're about to do a grounding meditation.

This is an opportunity to take a quick pause in the day and reconnect with ourselves and sense ourselves within the larger universe.

Start by getting comfortable in your chair,

Taking a relaxed but alert position.

You may close your eyes or gently gaze at the floor in front of you.

Take three deep breaths in,

Expanding your abdomen and chest and very slowly letting the air out,

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

For now,

Let all the activities of the day drop away.

Remember there's nothing to do,

Nowhere you have to go.

Gently turn your attention to the soles of your feet.

Feel your feet on the ground,

Touching the earth and the earth coming up to meet you,

To support you.

Feel the points of connection with the chair you are sitting on,

Maybe at your legs or your back.

Now settle your attention on your breath,

Just feeling the natural rhythm of the in breath and the out breath.

Know that you can always come back to this space,

But that you can also do this practice anywhere and anytime you need it.
