Let yourself arrive.
Fully arrive.
When you begin your relaxation practice,
The thoughts can still be quite active.
Become the observer of your thoughts.
Watch them come in.
Watch them go out.
Reminding yourself that you are not your thoughts.
You can watch them just like you'd watch a movie screen.
Let yourself arrive.
Take a slow breath in through the nose.
And a long,
Soft exhale through the mouth.
Inhale,
Receiving.
Exhale,
Releasing.
Your breath is a beautiful anchor for when the mind starts to chatter.
Inhale and exhale softly.
And as you're settling into stillness,
Just check around.
Are you as comfortable as you absolutely can be?
Can you change the position of your body?
Could you drop your shoulders?
Soften your jaw?
Maybe unclench fingers,
Toes,
Forehead.
And you might feel that you need to take a really,
Really deep breath and make a sound as the breath comes out.
Apart from breath,
There is nothing else you need to do.
And just for now,
Know where else you need to be.
Invite the full moon energy to allow you to feel.
To allow the emotions to come up like gentle or strong messages.
Notice now in this moment what emotion is present in you.
No need to change,
No need to try to adjust that emotion.
Simply acknowledge it's there.
What is that emotion trying to tell you?
Especially under a full moon,
The energy can amplify what's being held inside.
Allow the emotion in this moment to rise up to the surface,
To listen,
To acknowledge.
Imagine emotions as a gentle wave.
Let it rise if it needs to,
And then let it fall when it's ready.
Simply messages to be felt or heard or seen.
Rising and falling.
Under this powerful light of the full moon.
Shining into all the dark spots,
Emotions and energy.
What are you ready to leave behind?
Old patterns,
Habits,
Outdated roles that you play.
Expectations that no longer feel true to you.
Send them out on every exhale,
Gently loosening your grip,
A quiet letting go.
You don't need to carry everything forward with you just because you've been carrying it for as long as you can remember,
It doesn't mean it has to stay.
For these next few moments,
Let go,
Trust the releasing.
Now a moment of gratitude.
Gratitude for the unexpected turns and changes.
Gratitude for moments of strength that you didn't know you had.
Gratitude for the times you kept going when it would have been easier to stop.
And reflecting back as far as you wish to travel back.
Think of one lesson that you learned that really changed you and hold gratitude for that.
Reflecting back on one way that you grew even through a deep challenge.
And hold gratitude for that.
And maybe recently you had a bit of a surprise or an unexpected change,
Hold gratitude for that.
Sometimes we don't always see the positive from a situation until we can reflect back.
Gratitude does not always mean that everything was easy.
Notice how gratitude feels in your body right now in this moment.
And soon as you prepare to move forward from the full moon energy,
Lying ahead of you,
New beginnings,
Courage,
Change,
You're not being asked to charge ahead quickly,
Fast,
But simply an invitation to make space,
A gentle opening and allowing.
New beginnings don't need to be loud,
They often begin quietly,
A little thought and a little seed.
Hold the intention that you are gently opening,
Slowly and patiently awakening to what might be next.
Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
Connect to yourself right here,
Feel the rhythm of your breath.
Internally,
Repeat,
I honour all that I have lived.
I give thanks for my strength.
I lovingly release what no longer serves me.
I trust the cycle that I am in now.
I welcome what is meant for me with an open heart.
Notice how you feel,
And the emotion sitting with you.
Nothing needs to be different,
Just noticed and aware.
Let the light and energy of gratitude sit with you,
Within you.
Carry this gratitude forward.
Carry a gentleness with you.
The gratitude flowing through you for taking this time to pause,
And the softness of being present.
