Grounding with Earth Energy

When we give ourselves the time to ground, we welcome in the stillness and clarity we need to navigate our day. Grounding also allows us to simply receive. By practicing the art of doing nothing, we allow the Earth to nurture and rejuvenate us, which returns us to the essence of who we are.

Transcript

Let's start by taking a moment to relax into your body,

Feeling your shoulders drop,

Allowing your eyes to gently close,

Doing your best to keep your spine straight,

And resting your feet on the floor or the ground.

And now settle into the flow of your breathing,

Noticing the gentle movement of the inhale and the exhale,

Allowing your attention to be captivated by the movement of the body breathing.

And from this vantage point,

Notice that you have a body,

But you are not your body.

Notice also that you have a mind,

A mind that thinks thoughts,

Remembers,

Imagines,

But you are not your mind.

And notice that you have a heart,

Your center for self-love,

Unconditional love,

And the seat of your emotions,

But you are not your heart.

Now find your way to your center,

Your essence,

That which is authentically you,

And stay there for a few moments,

Touching into your soul,

Your spirit,

Your energy,

Touching into that part of yourself that is lasting,

That is you.

Now bring your focus to the feeling of your feet resting on the earth,

And begin to receive energy from the earth.

Do nothing,

Just receive.

The earth has a boundless supply of nurturing,

Healing energy.

Invite it into your body now.

And simply witness as it begins to flow through the soles of your feet,

Effortlessly traveling upwards through your body,

Filling your legs,

Your torso,

Traveling up your spine,

Reaching the crown of your head.

Do nothing.

Witness and receive.

Feel your spine plugging into the surface that you are sitting upon,

And your feet plugging deeper into the earth,

As if your feet were resting on wet,

Squishy sand,

And they were actually sinking into the ground.

And feel your body growing heavier and heavier as you relax into this feeling of receiving.

And now everything that you are receiving from the earth,

Begin to receive twice as much.

Allow twice as much of that healing,

Nurturing earth energy to flow into your body,

Doing nothing,

Witnessing and receiving.

Knowing that it is your birthright to receive,

That it is good,

Wholesome,

And nurturing to simply receive.

Letting your body delight in drinking in this grounding earth energy.

And when your body has been fully charged and rejuvenated by this healing energy from the earth,

Set an intention to stay in this grounded,

Centered state for as long as possible as you move into your day.

And begin to gently move your body around,

Maybe rolling your head in gentle circles,

Loosening up,

Luxuriating in a few more deep,

Cleansing breaths.

And when you feel ready,

Open your eyes and step back into your day.
