My name is Claire.
Thank you for joining me here today.
Today in this meditation we will reclaim and redefine the feeling of home and have the experience of it in the present moment within our hearts.
Through gentle guidance my intention is for you to nourish yourself from within so that you have a sense of all encompassing support,
Love and guidance with you,
Always.
So to begin,
Take a moment to get comfortable.
This may be sitting on a chair or in bed.
Wherever you find yourself with whatever you need to get settled.
Once you've found this position just allow the eyes to gently close.
Allow yourself to arrive completely into this space exactly as you are with no expectation of preference of how things should be.
Just allow yourself to be here.
Bring a gentle awareness to your breath.
Breathe into your body deliberately.
Gracefully allow the breath to bring you into the present moment.
As you breathe in allow your belly to rise on your inhale and fall on your exhale.
Again breathe in,
Notice your belly rise and fall.
One last time inhale belly rise,
Exhale belly fall.
As you continue to breathe lean into the sensation of your breath acting as a buffer from all of the tension,
Overwhelm and uncertainty you may notice in your external world at the moment.
This space is just for you.
Begin to scan your body and notice if any part is holding tension.
Let go and allow the body to fall into its most relaxed state.
Relax your face,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders,
Your arms and your legs.
Feel how the body is relaxing completely as you continue to breathe.
Notice how the body is breathing without any effort,
Force or control.
Let go and allow.
Now I would like you to picture somewhere or something that feels like home for you.
It can be anywhere or anything,
It does not have to be conventional,
It can be as abstract as you like.
In your mind's eye how does this vision present itself?
Maybe for you,
Home can be felt in the gentle embrace of a hug with a loved one,
Sensed in the breeze as it gently brushes your face when you step outside in the morning or seen through the bright and innocent smile of a child.
Home could be experienced in the rush and vibrancy of a city like New York or Tokyo.
Noticed through the welcoming gestures of a rug store owner in Istanbul as they invite you into their store for a tea.
Home could be decadently tasted while savouring your favourite meal or recognised after a small conversation with someone whose accent sounds familiar.
Wherever you are or whatever this vision is,
Here you are at ease and supported.
Allow a sense of calm to wash over you,
Reminding you that you are held in this moment and free of tension or worry.
Now allow this image to expand throughout your mind and body.
What are you noticing in the body and where do you feel it?
With compassionate curiosity notice how this makes you feel.
Let your thoughts and feelings wash over you and allow your thoughts to pass by like clouds.
Release any desire to grip onto these thoughts or feelings.
You do not need to change them in any way.
Just observe and allow them to be with no judgement,
Just your innocent awareness.
Continue to breathe into this space.
Now allow your awareness to move from the mind into the silence within your heart.
You may notice a swelling feeling within your heart as you bring this vision to the heart space.
Allow yourself to gently explore these sensations you are feeling within your heart.
As you continue to breathe,
Allow yourself to feel the heart's response as it pulsates,
Ebbs and flows.
Feel deeply into how this resonates within the heart.
Feel the glow,
Radiance and loving energy pulsate from your heart when you envisage what it feels like to be home.
Surrender and just be here.
Know that this is all within you.
It has been since the day that you were born.
It has informed every cell of your being.
Bathe in this love and support that you are offering to yourself.
As you sit in the heart space,
I would like to offer these words to you.
If you like,
You can repeat them softly in your mind and gently allow them to ruminate within your heart.
My intention is for these words to fill you up and sink you deeper into your heart.
Through listening may you feel seen,
Acknowledged and heard.
You are held.
You are supported.
You are loved.
You are held.
You are supported.
You are loved.
You are held.
You are supported.
You are loved.
Feel into this unconditional space.
Know that this feeling is always within you.
You just need to take the time to reconnect.
Now take a moment to feel gratitude.
Gratitude for this moment.
Gratitude for the time you have taken to connect to this space.
Know you can always come back to this moment and feeling of home as it comes from a never ending internal reservoir within the heart.
As we close our meditation,
Become aware of how you are breathing.
Breathing deeply and fully,
Taking as long as you need and when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take care of yourself today.
