Hi,

I'm Clara.

I'm so glad you're here.

What follows is a guided rest experience designed to help you relax deeply and reconnect with the quiet wisdom within.

This practice is inspired by yoga nidra or yogic sleep,

A state of conscious rest.

Yoga nidra guides the body into deep physical relaxation while the mind stays gently aware.

It helps ease tension,

Soothe the nervous system,

Restore emotional balance and invites deep rest,

Healing and sleep.

Whether this is your first time exploring yoga nidra or you're returning to it,

You're welcome exactly as you are.

There's no right way to experience it,

Only your way.

Let the journey unfold gently and naturally.

Begin by imagining yourself walking barefoot along a quiet untouched shoreline.

The sky is mute with early light,

A pale blue horizon and the morning mist still clinging to the edges of the sea.

Each step is soft in the damp sand.

You feel the texture beneath your feet,

The cool grit of tiny broken shells and the occasional dip of your toes into shallow tide trails.

With every breath you feel yourself arriving,

Leaving the outside world behind.

A sea breeze brushes your face carrying the scent of salt and seaweed.

Ahead in the pale cliffside you notice the wide opening of a sea cave.

Its entrance is surrounded by stones worn smooth by wind,

Water and sun over countless years.

The cave draws you forward with a quiet invitation.

The sound of waves echoes softly within,

Like breath rising and falling from a sleeping body.

You step slowly over tide-worn stone and into the mouth of the cave.

Small waves lap gently behind you in time with your footsteps.

With each step inside the light changes.

The morning light gives way to gentle blue-gray shadow.

Your footsteps feel more connected to the ground and your breath naturally slows.

You stop,

Placing your hand on the cave wall beside you.

It's cool,

Solid.

Here you notice something new.

The floor is dry.

After venturing even deeper within the cave you discover a sheltered area,

A space completely untouched by the sea.

The sandy floor here feels like sifted flour,

Undisturbed by any tide.

Light from an opening in the rock ceiling high above filters in,

Soft and warm.

As you settle into this quiet space your gaze catches a natural pool tucked further back into the cave.

Its surface utterly still,

Catching the faint light like a mirror.

The water disappears into the darkness,

Merging with the silence surrounding it.

Here you lie down.

The sand moulds perfectly around your shape,

Safe,

Welcoming.

Let your arms rest by your side,

Palms facing upward,

Legs soft,

Feet falling naturally.

Close your eyes.

Take a slow breath in and a long breath out.

Let your muscles melt into the support beneath you.

Now bring to mind a gentle intention,

Something real.

It could be I allow myself to rest.

I soften into this moment.

I receive what I need.

Let it settle silently in your heart.

Let's begin a gentle journey through your body.

This practice is often referred to as the rotation of consciousness,

A process of moving attention slowly and intentionally through each part of the body.

There's nothing to do,

Simply notice what's named and let your focus drift from one area to the next.

Bring awareness to the crown of your head,

Forehead,

Temples,

Eyebrows,

The space between your brows,

Ears,

Cheeks,

Collarbones,

Shoulders,

Chest,

Heart space,

Belly button,

Pelvis,

Sacrum.

Tailbone.

Right arm.

Upper arm.

Elbow.

Back of the hand.

Fingers.

Elbows.

Upper arm.

Elbow.

The back of the hand.

Fingers.

Ankle.

Toes.

Left leg.

Ankle.

Heel.

Toes.

Now feel the entire body as a unified field,

Lightly held in stillness,

Quietly alive.

Bring awareness to your breath,

Not changing it,

Just observing.

Notice where the inhale begins,

Where it travels,

Where it rests before returning outward.

Like the tide rolling in and out without force.

Let the breath guide you inward.

Turn your attention now to the inner space of your body,

Not the form but the space within it.

Notice the hollowness behind the eyes,

The gentle openness inside your throat,

The cavity of the chest,

The inner ball of your belly.

Now go even deeper.

Begin to sense the space between your bones,

Between your muscles,

Between each cell,

The space between your cells.

This inner landscape is not empty,

It's radiant,

Alive with energy,

Quietly aware,

Spacious and luminous.

With each inhale imagine light moving into this cellular space and with each exhale feel a softening,

A dissolving,

A gentle settling into deep stillness.

You're not solid,

You're spacious,

Floating,

Breathing light.

After a while you rise slowly and make your way to the pool.

You sit beside it,

Drawn by its quiet glow.

You reach out and dip your fingers into the water.

The light in the pool begins to move up through your fingers,

Into your hands,

Your arms,

Your heart,

Your spine,

Your head.

It fills your body,

Not like water but like memory,

Like recognition.

You remember something without words,

That you're part of something immense,

That you carry stillness within you,

That your body's not a boundary but a meeting place between the seen and the unseen,

The outer and inner,

Movement and stillness.

Be in this moment for a while.

Let all thought fall away,

The light,

The only presence,

The space,

The only truth.

Feel the quiet like a hum in your bones,

A rhythm deep below language.

Something begins to shift subtly,

The glow from the pool softens and a sense of lightness begins to rise inside you.

It's like you're no longer seated next to the pool but floating just above it.

The cave,

Though still present,

Seems to dissolve into a dream-like space.

You're drifting now,

Carried on a current of air,

Or thought,

Or starlight,

It's hard to say.

There's no direction,

Only sensation.

You find yourself moving through a vast expanse,

Deep blue,

Silver streaked.

Stars shimmer all around you,

Suspended in velvet darkness.

You're gliding through them.

Some pulse softly,

Others blink like distant thoughts.

Each one hums with energy as if remembering you.

One star brushes close and seems to whisper,

Its light lingering as you pass.

Another opens into a slow swirl of colour,

Like a cosmic bloom unfolding for you alone.

You pass a far-off planet,

Cloaked in deep green and soft violet,

Turning slowly in silence.

In the distance,

A galaxy spins,

Its spiral arms glowing faintly like an invitation.

A streak of silver cuts across the sky,

A shooting star.

Brief and brilliant,

You move with no effort,

Gently held by the quiet immensity of it all.

There's no destination here.

You float in this space between,

Between stars and silence,

Waking and dreaming,

Breath and space.

Stay here.

Let your awareness expand in all directions.

Let go of shape,

Of time,

Of edges.

Adrift in the most peaceful place you've ever known.

Eventually,

Allow your breath to return you to your awareness,

Grounding you,

Gentle and familiar,

Like a thread guiding you home.

It doesn't rush you,

But invites you back with care.

A new stillness forms,

Not of drifting,

But of settling.

You find yourself once again in the cave,

The pool beside you,

The sand beneath you,

The light above,

Soft and steady.

Feel your body resting,

Soft,

Grounded,

Real.

Let yourself receive this moment fully,

Without needing to shift or stir.

Recall your intention,

The quiet truth you placed in your heart at the beginning.

Let it return gently now,

Resonating through your stillness.

There's nowhere you need to go,

Nothing you need to do.

Let the cave hold you,

Let the peace remain.

You may drift into sleep now,

Or stay,

Resting in this space where the body and the earth meet in silence.

The stillness is always here,

It will carry you.

Thank you for listening.
