Hi,

Thanks for joining me,

Klara,

On this guided visualisation for relaxation and sleep.

Please find a comfortable place to relax.

Close your eyes.

Soften your face and lips.

Then gently focus on your breathing.

Taking slow,

Deep breaths.

While breathing in and out,

Notice the pause between the inhale and exhale.

As you're breathing out,

Exhale for as long as you can.

If your mind wanders,

Acknowledge it.

Then gently return your attention back to your breathing.

Each breath in is a chance to begin again.

And each breath out is a chance to let go.

Also be in the present moment.

And remember,

Your breath is the anchor to which you can always return.

Before we begin the guided visualisation to the Secret Sanote,

I'd like to reflect on the power of water.

Water is vital for life and is the basis for all life.

The human body is made with 60% water.

And water covers two-thirds of the earth.

As we move towards our dreams,

Or have a more fulfilling life,

We can draw inspiration from water.

Think about the drip-drip over time that carves out pools or grooves in the rock.

Or the flow of water forming a deep canyon or valley.

Water cuts through earth and stone with its sheer force.

So,

When life throws challenges your way,

Be like water and either flow through them or wait patiently,

Advancing slowly like a small drip of water.

Or form a new path that will lead you to your goals and dreams.

Another wonderful thing about water is how relaxing it can be.

Think about the soothing sound of rain,

The waves breaking on a beach or the rush of a mountain stream.

Sometimes,

Simply being in or around water can inspire your creativity or energy to flow.

Cenotes are underground caves filled with water,

Formed for the most part by rainwater trickling for thousands of years through tiny fishes of the limestone in the Yucatan Peninsula.

No rivers or lakes exist in the Yucatan Peninsula where the cenotes are,

So they're essential for life there.

The ancient Mayan people referred them as the birthplace of life and containers of sacred waters.

You find yourself in a hidden tropical paradise.

The air is filled with birdsong and infused with a soothing scent of exotic flowers and orchids.

Brilliant sunlight filters through the interlacing branches of the trees overhead,

Creating two-dimensional patterns of light and shade on the ground.

When you arrive at a fork in the trail,

You decide to take the smaller path that leads to the right,

The one where clouds of iridescent blue butterflies waft gracefully in the sunlight.

After a little while,

You reach a rock stairway where stairs descend steeply into an underground cavern.

As you walk down them,

You enter a twilight world where straight rays of light pour through a round hole in the roof.

At the bottom of the steps is a deep pool,

Carved out and filled with centuries of rainwater,

Surrounded by a carpet of moss.

The water inside the pool glows with a fluorescent inner light resembling molten aquamarine glass.

And in the depths,

The colour of the water changes to a sapphire blue.

Elsewhere,

In the unlit corners of the cenote,

The water takes on a fizzy moonlight quality.

You decide to go for a swim.

So you take off your clothes,

Walk over to the edge of the pool and plunge in.

The water in the cenote feels soft,

Refreshing,

With a taste pure and sweet on your lips.

When you look down,

Deep into the water,

You see colonies of colourful fish swimming through the shafts of sunlight.

You float,

Suspended in the crystal clear cenote.

Overhead,

Long stalactites hang from the ceiling of the cavern.

Some have fused together to form large pillars.

Thin,

White,

Flowering vines also drape down from the jungle outside.

After a while,

You get out of the water,

Dry yourself off,

And lie down on the soft moss.

A couple of the blue butterflies have flown down through the hole in the roof of the cavern.

They whisper past your face and fly to the opposite side of the pool,

Where they land and fan their wings in a patch of sunshine.

It's so peaceful and relaxing beside the secret cenote.

So you close your eyes and decide to stay a while,

And tune in to the ambient sounds of the cave.

So.

You you you you you

A cenote. Had to look that up and glad I did. Still I felt the sacredness of the place. Thank you so much for a beautiful piece. I love all info about the pyramids. Fan of Graham Hancock.

I visited a cenote decades ago. It was magical. Thank you for rekindling that memory.
