My name is Cori.
Find a seat,
Get comfortable wherever you are.
You can listen to this in the car,
You can listen to this at your work desk with your headphones on.
This meditation is just for the purpose of giving you a moment to slow down.
Close your eyes if you can.
If not,
Find a spot somewhere in front of you.
A place where you can just stare and drift off in your mind.
The next time you breathe out,
Let your shoulders fall.
Straighten your spine.
Soften your jaw.
See if you can release any tension around your eyes and across your forehead.
Imagine you're just relaxing your scalp.
Something warm and comfortable is running over the muscles in your face.
Like when you're standing in the shower.
Imagine it's rolling down from the top of your scalp.
Softening the muscles.
Relaxing any tension around your temples,
Your eyebrows,
Your cheeks,
Jaw.
The next time you breathe out,
Let your chest soften and relax.
On the next exhale,
Let your abdomen get loose and soft.
Even though you have your spine straight,
Let your abdomen relax.
Slow down.
Give yourself permission in this minute to slow down.
You're doing the best that you can.
You're just one person.
Soften the expectations of what you're expecting yourself to do.
Be kind.
Most importantly,
Kind to yourself.
Everything that needs to get done will get done eventually.
Just for slowing down like this for a few minutes,
You're recharging your battery.
You're allowing yourself to pause and calm.
Give yourself grace.
Slow down.
Just take a few moments of silence to just be.
Be in your body.
Be in this moment.
Take one final big deep breath.
Namaste,
My friend.
