Close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep inhale,
Starting to settle into your body.
One more.
Gently inhale and exhale.
Taking your attention to the sounds around you,
Perhaps noticing the one that is farthest away,
Really focusing and tuning into that sound.
Now look for another sound,
Maybe one that is closer.
Simply notice it,
Sit with it.
It's okay if it changes and other ones come in and take over.
Simply noticing and being with the sounds.
Perhaps you can hear your breath,
If it gets really quiet,
Remembering you can bring your attention to the sounds around you,
One at a time,
At any point in the day.
And as always,
To your breath,
Simply being with your breath,
Watching it lift your belly and your chest as they rise and fall.
Perhaps you hear the murmur of the lights or other sounds in the room,
Simply noticing.
See if you can go from those sounds and then come back to hearing your breath going in and out of your nose and your mouth.
No rushing,
Simply floating back and forth,
Knowing that all of the energy around you is supporting you,
Just as your breath is supporting you always,
Noticing,
Feeling gratitude,
Feeling peace,
Feeling love.
