Grounding is where we connect our body to the earth’s natural energy. This can be done by physically touching the ground, like walking barefoot on grass, dirt, sand, or in water. This balances out the static energy in our bodies and can reduce inflammation, reduce anxiety, and calm down our nervous system. In this meditation, we are going to imagine we are doing this, which can have a similar effect. We will be connecting deep into the earth and high into the heavens.

Grounding is where we connect our body to the earth's natural energy.

This can be done by physically touching the ground,

Like walking barefoot on grass,

Dirt,

Sand or in water.

This balances out the static energy in our bodies and can reduce inflammation,

Reduce anxiety and calms down our nervous system.

In this meditation we are going to imagine we are doing this,

Which can have a similar effect.

Let's start by finding a quiet place,

Making yourself comfortable,

Either sitting or laying down.

If you are comfortable to,

Close down your eyes or lower your gaze and slowly settle yourself.

Take in a few deep breaths,

In your nose and out of your mouth.

Set the intention as you breathe throughout this meditation,

That you are breathing in calm,

Loving,

Healing energy and breathing out any fears,

Stress or emotion that are ready to be released.

Notice your breathing,

Notice how your breath comes into your body,

How it fills your body and how it is released.

Notice your own rhythm,

Keep breathing in calm,

Loving energy and breathing out what no longer serves.

As we breathe now,

We are going to ground ourselves.

Imagine you have tree roots,

Coming out of your feet,

That are going to grow deep,

Deep,

Deep,

Down into the center of the earth,

To connect with the earth's natural energy.

Down,

Down,

Down,

Through the layers of the earth,

Until the tree roots get to the inner core.

Feel the strength of the roots,

They hold you firm,

Safe and solid.

You are supported,

You are connected and you are safe.

Feel the connection with the earth's core.

Imagine and feel the roots releasing any fear,

Anxiety,

Sadness,

Guilt and anger into the earth.

Say in your mind,

I release fear,

I release anxiety,

I release sadness,

I release guilt,

I release anger,

I release shock and disbelief,

And feel it release into the earth.

If any other emotion comes to mind that needs to be released,

Let it go now.

See it run through your body,

Out your feet,

Into the tree roots and into the center of the earth,

To be released and healed.

Take a few deep breaths,

In and out,

And imagine your emotions are being released.

Continue this for the next few minutes.

Now we are going to grow the top of the tree.

We have tall branches and leaves and a trunk growing out of the crown of our head,

Up,

Up,

High into the clouds.

Imagine the top goes way up high,

Above the clouds and connects higher into the heavens.

Feel the tips of the leaves swaying in the breeze and you feel a connection with something positive and calm and loving.

You feel protected,

Connected and peaceful.

We are going to now bring in,

Through the crown of our heads,

Green healing light.

This is going to fill up our bodies,

From the top of our heads,

Through our head,

Chest,

Lungs,

Stomach,

Kidneys,

Bladder,

Liver,

Gallbladder,

And other organs.

See the green filling all the organs,

As well as your arms,

Your legs,

And down out of your feet.

See the lovely green light fill your body and bring in love,

Healing,

Calm,

Peace,

And trust.

Breathe the green energy into your body,

Feel it surround your body.

Breathe in the green healing energy through your head,

Flushing all anxiety and fear,

All the anger,

Frustration,

Sadness,

Or any other emotion that comes to mind,

Out of your body,

Deep into the earth,

On each exhale.

If anything comes to mind,

Any thoughts,

Emotions,

Or questions,

That's ok,

Let them come and go,

With no judgement,

Just bring yourself back to my voice,

And focus on your breathing.

Continue to breathe this green energy through your body.

Feel the gentle flow of energy from the tip of your head to your fingers and toes.

Feel your body flushing out anything that needs to be released at this time.

Clearing,

Cleaning,

Restoring all the cells in your whole body,

Every organ and every part of your body.

Feel the calm,

The peace,

The feeling of balance.

Focus now on the whole body together as a single unit.

Notice the connection between your body and the floor,

Cushion or chair.

Slowly bring your awareness back to where you are.

Slowly wriggle your fingers and your toes and start to make slow and gentle movements.

Take a deep breath in and out,

And when you are ready open your eyes and gently stretch and move as you bring your awareness back to this room.
