I want to congratulate you on completing another great year on this planet.
I really hope that you fully enjoyed the past year no matter what.
I am pretty sure there is hustle and bustle on this festive time around you and I am pretty sure as well that you have quite a huge to-do list of the things that you need or want to complete before the new year starts.
But here is the thing.
If you want to truly and fully enjoy this holiday time to be aware,
Mindful and conscious of the new year coming,
There is nothing better than being here and now.
So even if you will not complete everything you have to do or even if there is not much time left and you're extremely busy,
The most important thing is to be mindful of what is happening not around you but inside of you.
Well,
Let's start with taking three deep breaths.
In through your nose and out through your mouth with a sigh.
Let's do it together.
Deep inhale and let it go with a sigh.

Deep inhale and let it go.
Breathe naturally and try to relax just one percent more.

First of all pay attention to your body.
Where does it have the contact with the ground?
Maybe your feet,
Some parts of your legs,
Your hips,
Your sit-in bones,
Your back,
Your shoulder blades,
Your head.
What do you feel at these points?
Warmth?
Is it pleasant?
Do you have some tension somewhere?
Just pay attention to your sensations but do not try to change anything.
And what is happening inside your body?
How does your body feel?
Is there any energy flowing from your toes to the crown of your head?
In your limbs?
In your stomach?
How do you breathe?
How is your throat?
What do you feel inside of your chest?
Probably some emotion.
Do not label it as pleasant or unpleasant but try to be curious about it.
How do you physically feel this emotion?
How does it make your body feel?
Do not engage with these emotions or any thoughts that may arise.
Try to observe the emotion.
Be curious how it affects your body.
If this emotion had color,
What color would it be?
How dense would it be?
How would it probably smell or taste?
Anything that comes to your mind in the first place is the best answer.
Do not try to turn on your brain or try to find a logical answer.
And even if nothing comes up,
That's completely fine.
The answer is in the question.
Well,
You are here and now.
And if you throw a wide perspective on the past year and the 12 months of your life,
How was it?
What are the highlights that start flashing in your mind's eye?
What have you done?
What have you accomplished?
What couldn't become real?
What else you would like have happened?
But I know for sure that you did your best and that you can be proud of yourself.
Why?
Because you're here.
Because no matter what was happening,
Every single day,
You are here.
You made it.
And I am really,
Really proud of you.
You're extremely strong and wise.
And you have everything you need inside of you to make the next year of your life better,
Brighter,
More meaningful,
However you want it to be.
