Welcome to this Wisdom Note.
This is Dorothy.
Have there ever been occasions where you do not have the type of closure that you would like?
Closure whether in the form of an apology or of the acknowledgement of one's wrongdoing and of your suffering?
Love in the name of forgiveness of others and of ourselves is how we heal the hurts and wounds of our past.
It is how we reclaim our power and our ability to carry on,
To be inspired,
To love in the name of certitudes.
And of realizing our sacred power lies not in what someone says or does to alleviate our hurt,
Rather in the permission we hold to release thoughts that ruminate in the present moment and that keep us mired in the past and in what can never save us.
We forgive because we recognize that in that moment another was incapable of being at their best.
We forgive ourselves because to do so means that we can move forward,
We can rise up,
We can initiate a rebirth of who it is that we are choosing to be,
And we can also acknowledge our mistakes and hurtful actions by loving ourselves through these moments.
Through our precise acknowledgement of where we have faltered,
We can build ourselves higher and into the deliberate presence of our nature as love.
Love is what will heal you.
It will be through your kindness that you can both heal a situation and yourself.
Forgiveness does not require the words and actions of another.
It is not to forget but to forgive that you have the opportunity to clear the slate for yourself,
To make amends,
To apologize,
To choose more carefully what you will say and do in the future,
And then to step bravely into the new moment in front of you as you claim forgiveness of yourself,
Knowing that the energy of loving kindness is the compassionate care that liberates you.
Say the words aloud,
In the name of love I am forgiven,
And then hold love for yourself,
Hold compassion,
Hold forgiveness.
Know that you are one step closer to your brilliance.
Your mistakes do not define you.
Your perseverance to return to your right path,
Your path of sacred ground,
Your path of love unto yourself is what sets you free.
Because to love yourself in spite of your humanness is what compels you to live of your godliness and the highest form of pure love for yourself that flows ceaselessly from you unto all others.
The path is love.
Find it.
Be on it.
In the name of love,
I am forgiven.
I know it's going to be an amazing week in your life.
Look for the opportunities for you to forgive yourself,
To use this mantra.
Hold gratitude for everything that is before you,
Sending you great love.
