Hello and welcome to this short meditation with me,
Jan Russell,
On Intuitive Ageing.
And this is an invitation to spend a few minutes quietly contemplating and meditating,
Allowing your mind to take you where you would like to,
And to create more of a bridge between your conscious mind and your intuition.
So as you settle in the way that you like to,
Let's just contemplate one or two things here before we move into full meditation.
Intuition β what is it?
Well sometimes we understand something instinctively,
Without any apparent need for conscious reasoning,
And we allow that understanding to guide us.
And I've found that the more we can call on our own intuition,
The more we trust ourselves.
And we find we know what to do and how to be.
Have faith in that feeling of just knowing.
Make your relationship with your intuition one that you can access and trust.
The bridge between our unconscious instinct and our conscious reasoning,
Like the forces of nature.
And when you age intuitively,
You will know who and how you are and want to be,
Making the right decisions about how you spend precious time.
And it's great and useful to learn to filter out what we don't want.
So let's reset our filters.
Because as we age,
And actually everyone is aging,
Aren't we?
We're older than we were yesterday,
And younger than we'll be tomorrow.
And we're always facing the unknown in a way.
And one of our tasks is to distinguish our wisdom,
To be in touch with the wisdom of the collective unconscious,
And filter out the interference,
The unhelpful messages of what we should or shouldn't do,
Or be in this aging process of ours.
I invite you to relax more.
And if you haven't already,
Close your eyes,
Be comfortable,
And allow yourself to drift,
Allowing your thoughts to flow past you.
You may become aware of your body,
Your breath,
With an acceptance of all that is.
Feel yourself a show of gratitude that you hear at whatever age you are.
And allow yourself to open in a state of welcome relaxation.
To journey to that deep inner part of yourself.
Open to receiving exactly what you need at this moment.
Surrendering.
Being held in whatever position you are.
Follow my voice as a guiding path,
Trusting yourself to go where you want to go.
Now again,
Noticing your breathing.
Letting go all that you need to as you move inwards,
Down,
Deep inside.
Opening the channels to communicate with your unconscious.
Recognizing your positive intention.
Recognizing the filter that you have for yourself to keep yourself safe.
And today we're simply checking that this filter is working as it can,
As it should,
To sift through the myriad sensory experiences that touch you every second.
To create your own inner crucible of trust and safety.
To serve your highest interests.
That's right.
Clearing that filter to be as it needs to be for your journey today.
And every day in your life ahead.
Clearing the way,
Because just as a filter to a tap can become clogged,
So the filter between unconscious and conscious.
The dead leaves that have fallen from the trees of our experience.
Brushing them away now.
Maybe letting them blow away or disintegrate.
Finding an easy pathway between that which you just know and those decisions that face you.
And I wonder if you can thank your unconscious mind for giving you the ways it has given you to protect,
To protect.
And set your positive intention to blend whatever your dreams and hopes.
And it's a good time now to let your unconscious know that you would like to access your intuition to feed into all of that here onwards.
And as you continue to relax as deeply as you wish,
I wonder if you can invite your unconscious mind to generate at least three or four new ways to fulfill the positive intention of your aging process with full access to your intuition.
That's right.
As you allow your attention to expand from your inner space to your external space where you are and have been resting,
Still relaxed,
Allowing yourself to gently switch,
Maybe stretch,
Maybe wriggle,
Fully relaxed and yet returning to full awareness.
Now you may begin to notice over the next few days that you are more aware of your intuition in ways which you don't yet know.
And breathe and give thanks.
