Hello and welcome to Day 24 of the Mindful Minute.

This is Laura.

For the final week of this series,

I would like to introduce the seven major chakras.

These are energy centers with physical locations in our bodies,

And we can use them to bring better balance in our mind,

Body,

And energies.

Go ahead and find a comfortable seat,

Close your eyes or soften your gaze,

And begin by bringing your attention to the base of your spine.

This is the location of the root chakra.

It's also known as muladhara.

As you focus on this area of your body,

Imagine a warm red light emanating from here.

This chakra allows us to feel safe,

Stable,

Supported,

And grounded.

Allow this warm light to let these qualities wash over you.

Notice your connection with the physical world.

Continue to focus your awareness here at the base of the spine,

The area of the root chakra.

Visualize that light growing from here to expand and cover your entire body,

Feeling safe and secure.

Stay here as long as you'd like.

Take care and be well.
