Welcome to this moment,
My friend.
Take your time to find a comfortable space to return to your heart.
Use your breath to soften in.
Inhale slow,
Exhale even slower.
Really feel yourself arrive here.
Bring awareness to your body pressing into the cushion,
The chair,
The ground beneath you.
Relax your muscles and allow yourself to sink,
To be held.
Allow the eyes to feel heavy,
The gentle weight of your eyelids as you turn inward,
Finding a place for your hands to rest,
Maybe your lap or maybe your heart space.
Dropping into the heart,
This is where we feel.
Our heart is home to our emotions,
Our vulnerability.
Vulnerability my friend is simply allowing what is true and real for you to be seen and not knowing what the response will be.
To be vulnerable means to be seen.
To be vulnerable means to share a truth.
And maybe that truth comes with feelings.
And maybe that truth is simply in a form of creation.
Your work,
Your effort,
Your idea,
Your thoughts.
What does vulnerability feel like to you?
You are worthy of being seen,
Heard,
Known and felt.
My friend,
Do you feel resistance to being vulnerable?
What if you can free yourself from that resistance by being vulnerable with yourself first?
Right here,
Holding space for how you feel.
Right here,
See yourself in your entirety,
Feel into what is real and true within you.
Be vulnerable with you.
Whenever we choose to be vulnerable,
We give someone else the permission to do the same.
When we choose to be vulnerable,
We can really meaningfully connect with others and with ourselves.
Let something go.
Can you feel this safety wrap around you in this moment?
It is safe to be seen,
To be vulnerable,
To be a real human.
And maybe vulnerability is the missing piece to true genuine connection that you are craving.
Will you say yes to being seen,
To being known?
I don't know about you,
But at the end of the day,
I just want to be proud of the person I have become.
I want to be proud of the way I loved.
I want to be proud of the way I chose vulnerability and tenderness.
At the end of the day,
I want to be proud of the way I showed up,
Of the way I existed here,
Of the way I dedicated myself to living the kind of life that allowed for happiness and sadness and growth.
At the end of the day,
I want to leave this world with a heart that is worn out and tender all over,
A heart that aches from loving and feeling and caring in the best way possible.
I want to be proud of the way I chose vulnerability and tenderness and the way I chose to be seen.
Slow breath in,
Let it go.
Notice what's really landed on your heart.
Maybe feel your heart expanding,
Open,
Ready to be seen,
To be vulnerable as you sit here in the quiet of your own mind.
What is one way you can be more vulnerable today?
Do yourself a favor and go there.
Lean into the superpower of vulnerability.
You are worthy of being seen.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Go slowly now,
Creating a little bit of movement in your body.
Taking one more full breath in,
Release,
Blinking your eyes open if they were closed.
You got this,
My friend.
From my heart to yours.
