Feeling lost, or disconnected from your true self is something that many of us experience. This guided meditation is designed to help you to reconnect to your self, the parts of you that just are, without the labels, stories, conditioning, or any need for approval because you are perfect, worthy, and lovable, just the way you are. You may wish to do this as a meditation, or as a journaling exercise.

Feeling lost or disconnected from your true self is something that many of us experience and it's no wonder.

From a young age we have family and social expectations put on to us about what we should do,

How we should act.

We pick up our own stories and beliefs of what roles we should play and boxes we should fit into,

While our society and social media are constantly telling us who we should be.

You may have also arrived at this place having exited a relationship or career,

Retiring or sending your kids off to college.

These big life transitions can stir up big questions as the roles and identities we have attached ourselves to fall away.

This guided meditation is designed to help you to reconnect to yourself,

The parts of you that just are,

Without the labels,

Stories,

Conditioning or any need for approval,

Because you are perfect,

Worthy and lovable just the way you are and I believe that we are all made in our uniqueness to share and express that to the world.

You may wish to do this as a meditation or as a journaling exercise.

Begin by finding a comfortable,

Quiet space where you can be present without any distractions and then just closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths,

Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth.

With every breath,

Just allow your body to relax and let go of any tension or stress that you might be holding on to and now bring your awareness to your body,

Just feeling into it in this present moment,

Feeling the support of the surface beneath you,

Noticing the sensations of your breath as it moves in and out of your body and seeing if you can breathe a little deeper and then just checking in with your mind,

Noticing what thoughts or emotions are present and for now,

Just acknowledge them and allow them to be there.

Just witnessing these thoughts and emotions that are happening right now.

Now see if you're able to just gently let them go,

Like butterflies that you're setting free back into the world,

Knowing that they will return if they need to.

Then coming back to presence and coming back to the breath.

Now imagine a warm radiant light surrounding you,

Wrapping around you like a cocoon of comfort and protection.

This light represents your inner essence,

Your true self that's always advocating for you or what is in alignment and sometimes its voice is quiet but it's always there.

It will always guide you on your journey to bring you everything that you want.

And as you continue to breathe deeply,

Imagine this light expanding with each inhale,

Filling every cell of your body with its soothing energy.

Just feeling it infusing you with this essence,

Even if you're not quite sure what that looks like yet,

It is a sense of peace,

Love,

Acceptance.

And now bring your attention to your heart center,

The seat of your intuition and inner wisdom.

Just taking a moment to connect to your heart space,

Perhaps tuning into your heartbeat,

Just observing,

Listening if it has any gentle guidance or wisdom for you.

And then as you inhale,

Imagine that you are drawing in clarity and insight from your heart center as you feel the warmth and radiance of the warm light of your true self.

Expanding with each breath,

Out of your body and illuminating the path ahead.

And then just taking a moment to reflect on the qualities,

Values and passions that make you who you are and who you've always been.

You might want to think about a younger version of yourself,

You as a child or a teenager.

What did you like?

What did you dislike?

What excited you and lit you up?

What did you look forward to doing?

What games did you like to play?

And what made you laugh?

What were your hopes and dreams and aspirations?

And what was important to you?

And what's important to you now?

What brings you joy and lights you up from within?

And are there any common threads between then and now?

Sometimes they're the same thing.

And what is something that you like or are drawn to,

Completely independent of anyone else?

And what is something that you've always wanted to try or perhaps pick back up like a hobby or a practice?

And now imagine that you're living your life and it's expansive,

Abundant,

Full of joy,

Love and anything else that your heart desires.

Who is that version of you?

What are their characteristics?

What are their values,

Their hopes,

Dreams and aspirations?

Just take a few moments to build out that vision and just noticing what comes up and what is present here for you.

And if there's any doubts or fears that are creeping in or limitations that may be holding you back from fully expressing yourself and your desires,

Just see if you can release them on the exhale.

Letting go of any expectations or judgments,

Allowing yourself to simply be in this moment,

In this version of you and your magic and who you came here to be.

I'm just staying here for a few more moments.

And now taking a few deep breaths and slowly bringing your awareness back to your surroundings.

And I invite you to,

Either silently or out loud,

Affirm your worthiness as this true self and your love for yourself by saying,

I am worthy,

I am enough,

I embrace myself fully and completely.

And then,

As you bring your awareness back to the room,

Just gently wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.

And any other movement that feels good or your body is calling for,

Like a stretch.

And if you haven't already,

You can open your eyes,

Just taking in everything that is around you with a sense of renewed vision,

Clarity,

Presence and reverence for the magical being that you are as you prepare to step forward into this true version of yourself.

And if it resonates,

I invite you to make a commitment to honour this version of you as something actionable that came up for you during this process.

It might even be something that you've never tried before or don't do more of.

So often we wait for other people to do things with us when there is so much power that comes from doing things just for you and for the sole reason that you want to or you feel like it or your soul is calling you to do that.

So go forth my love and know that this light of your true self is always within you,

Guiding you on your journey ahead and can never truly be lost.
