Eric B. Loucks, PhD, is a professor, researcher, speaker, and innovator in the study of mindfulness and health. He is director of the Mindfulness Center at Brown University. He is a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher, and author of the book The Mindful College Student: How to Succeed, Boost Well-Being, and Build the Life You Want at University and Beyond. Eric is the lead developer of two mindfulness-based programs that have undergone clinical trial research: Mindfulness-Based College for Young Adults (MB-College) and Mindfulness-Based Blood Pressure Reduction (MB-BP). He received ordination in the Zen tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.
