Good morning.
In this 10-minute meditation,
We'll use a bit of creative visualization and intention setting to get your day started on the right foot.
As the amazing Louise Hay says,
How you start your day is how you live your day,
And how you live your day is how you live your life.
Today is going to be a beautiful day,
So let's get started.
You can either do this meditation in bed or in a comfy seated position.
And let's begin by taking a few mindful breaths,
Tuning into the body,
And taking any stretches you might need.
While paying attention to the breath,
Just let your body move in whatever way feels right.
It might feel good to round and arc the spine,
Bring the arms overhead,
Or take a few twists from side to side.
Waking up the body and getting some energy flowing and moving.
Let's find some stillness in the body now,
And bring palms to your lap in an open and receiving position.
Or if you're laying down,
You can put your palms out beside you with palms facing upwards.
Just feeling the difference in your body after a little bit of a stretch.
Let's begin by asking ourselves the question,
What does my ideal day look like?
Beginning from the moment you get up from this meditation,
Run through a visualization of today as if it were the ideal day.
How would the rest of your morning go?
How would your interactions with family,
Friends,
Or coworkers go?
What would you accomplish today and how would it feel?
Just taking some time to visualize the day as if you're drawing an energetic map for yourself to follow for the day ahead.
Once you visualize the day ahead and exactly how you'd like it to go,
Let's set our intention for the day.
An intention is a positive statement that inspires you to live a life more in alignment with your goals and aspirations.
It can be very broad or very specific.
You may wish to set an intention to see the beauty that surrounds you at every moment today.
Or maybe your intention is to invite peace and calm into your day or to recognize each moment in your day as an opportunity for growth.
Whatever intention you connect with most,
Repeat it silently to yourself three times,
Understanding that as you do so,
You are planting the seed of possibility.
Energy flows where intention goes.
To supercharge your intention,
We pair it with an elevated emotion.
So over the next few minutes,
Bring to mind something or someone that makes you feel pure love,
Light,
Or joy.
It could be a significant other,
A child,
A pet,
Or even something as simple as the bright warm sun shining down on you.
Whatever it is,
Devote your full attention to that thing or that person and the way that it makes you feel.
Feelings of abundance,
Joy,
Love,
Beauty,
And light are like liquid sunshine in the body that helps the intention,
The seed that we planted grow and blossom inside of us.
The more intense the emotion and the longer we feel it,
The more powerful our intention becomes.
Let the breath amplify it as well,
Using it to make that emotion feel stronger and stronger with each inhale.
Now,
Let's just take a moment to notice what's going on in your body.
Maybe you feel a fluttering in the chest,
A lightness in the heart,
Or maybe it's a full body feeling like every cell in your body is just glowing.
Just taking a moment to really immerse yourself in that feeling.
Let's finish off with a prayer or a blessing for the day.
Take this opportunity to ask your higher self,
The universe,
Your spirit guides,
Or God for any guidance,
Help,
Or clarity you might need today.
If there's a question that you've been seeking an answer to,
Here's your opportunity to ask it.
The music will continue for a few minutes longer,
But once you're ready,
You can begin to bring some movement back into the body and open your eyes.
And shifting the corners of your mouth into an upward position,
You know,
Like a smile,
Just take a moment or two before you rush into your perfect day to enjoy the way you feel in this moment after the meditation.
