Acceptance.
Acceptance enables us to experience more joy in daily life,
To become less entangled in negative feelings when things don't go our way.
Acceptance doesn't mean we love all of our experiences.
Rather,
Acceptance means tuning into what's here in the present moment without our additions and stories.
We practice acceptance because we know that fighting against reality creates suffering.
Let's turn towards what is,
Together.
Take a moment to assume a comfortable posture.
Allow your tongue to rest in your mouth.
Release your shoulders.
Relax your belly.
Scan your body for additional areas of hidden tension.
See if you can let it go.
Now bring your awareness to your breathing.
We can practice acceptance and presence,
Even here.
Let's not alter the breath in any way.
See if you can notice what it feels like.
Coming in,
Filling,
Expanding,
And then releasing,
Letting go.
You might notice the temperature or the sensation of the breath,
How it moves your body gently.
Let's stay with observing the breath for a few breath cycles.
Now I'm going to share some affirmations.
Feel free to repeat them after me or just listen and allow them to sink in.
I accept this moment as it is.
I can practice acceptance moment by moment.
I accept that there are things I cannot control.
I can feel my emotions without clinging to them.
I accept others.
I accept myself as I am in this moment.
I accept my life in this moment.
I accept the gifts in openness and possibility.
Thank you for joining me.
Thank you for working to accept yourself and your life just as it is.
Peace to you and namaste.
