All right,
Let's go ahead and get comfy,
Get in your meditation spot,
Get some place where you feel like you can be comfortable for the next bit of time.
And let's start by just doing our three deep breaths,
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth,
And just start to get settled,
Sort of feel that familiar tug of gravity on your body.
I like to feel where my sitz bones or my bum kind of touches my cushion,
Just feels really like rooted and grounded there,
And let's set our grounding cord,
So that image that connects our body to the earth,
No matter how far away we are from actual earth,
We can set a connection,
Waterfall or tree roots,
And just feel as soon as you set that intention,
See that visual connecting you to the earth.
I just feel my whole body kind of relaxing and letting go,
Just knowing everything is going to be okay,
The earth is holding and supporting me,
And just start to feel that relaxation that comes with knowing you can just release bodily sensations,
Body tension,
Aches,
Just allow them to move down through your body and out into mother earth.
She is our great provider,
Our protector,
She's so much larger than any of our concerns,
Our human thoughts,
Mental formations,
She can absorb them all,
It's no big deal.
On your inhale,
Start to make another connection with mother earth,
Breathing in peace and relaxation,
Breathing in that slow hum of earth energy,
And grounding off anything that doesn't serve you today.
As you breathe in,
You might imagine a certain place in nature that would be nourishing and healing for you today,
And as you breathe out,
You're simply returning back to the earth,
Anything that doesn't serve you or your community today,
And we're just tapping into a reservoir of energy that's always here for us,
Just takes a little bit of intention,
Remembering to call in our resources,
Our bravery and our decency,
Come from our connection to the land,
To our connection to our ancestors,
And so we're just calling in the power and the presence of the earth energy.
Let's move our attention up to our upper back,
Just place your attention on your posture,
Just bring awareness to your body and space,
How is your back and shoulders,
How are they resting on your spine,
And with that awareness in our upper body,
And now in our head,
Just allow the crown of your head to be open to receive star energy or sky energy,
Father earth,
Sorry,
Father sky,
And if there's a star that's shining brightly that wants to come through,
Some starlight,
Allow that in through the crown of your head.
Cosmic chi is kind of like the get up and go energy,
The special sauce,
It's your library of information,
Your soul's knowing,
Just allow that sense of expansion,
Possibility to come in through your crown,
And just kind of pours over your crown,
Over your torso,
Into your body.
We're going to do a quick energetic scan of our chakras just because we've all been rebalancing with the election,
With the change of seasons,
So we're just going to move briefly through each of our chakras,
Just noticing,
Grounding off any negativity,
And we're just kind of clearing out our energetic body so that we can be our best selves.
So starting at the crown,
Allow that starlight to come in,
Into your crown chakra,
This is where you hold seniority in your world,
Seniority,
Your sovereign over your body,
You have seniority in giving yourself permission to be uniquely you,
And so just allow this chakra to open wide,
Fully to starlight energy,
Just filling you up with permission,
Spirit,
Moving down into our sixth chakra,
This is our chakra that governs meditation,
Intuition,
Knowing our next steps,
And being really firm and clear about where to head next,
This is where we see with clairvoyance,
And just allow the sixth chakra to be wide and spacious,
We're in meditation,
It's safe to allow information to come in,
It's safe for you to see 360 I like to imagine this sort of like a large,
Vast plain or desert,
Or a shallow pool,
You see in all directions,
Moving down into your fifth chakra,
Your throat chakra,
This is our ability to speak our truths,
To creatively express ourselves without shackles of fear or timidity,
And if you notice any discoloration,
Any murkiness,
Any heaviness,
It's just energy that needs to be cleared off,
Most likely it's other people's programs coming into your space that just got stuck there,
And just gently,
And there's no effort or willpower here,
It's just a gentle awareness,
And allowing for grounding down and off,
Anything that's not yours,
That doesn't belong in your energetic space,
If the fifth chakra isn't clearing easily,
Usually the fifth is connected to the fourth,
So let's move down into our fourth chakra,
Which is where we hold compassion for self and others,
Our fourth chakra is really where we create personal resiliency and energetic immunity,
By having a really clear love for ourselves,
And just gently place your awareness in your heart chakra,
This is where we also tend to hold worry and anxiety,
And kind of that like,
It's just an anxiousness that can get lodged in the chest,
Anxiousness about our worthiness,
Anxiousness about our relations with others,
So just let that melt away,
Ground off anything that doesn't serve you,
That's not part of the purity of your heart,
Moving down into our third chakra,
This is where we hold sort of our willpower and our to-do list,
This is often overextended,
The third chakra is in our solar plexus and diaphragm,
Western culture likes to operate out of the third chakra,
Like if we effort more,
We'll get more,
Things will go our way,
So just let that kind of tendency,
That programming,
That soup that we've been swimming in our whole lives,
Just let that melt away,
And the third chakra that's in healthy balance,
It's just humming along,
There's enough there to get you out of bed,
Do the things you need to do,
But it's not overextended or busy,
There's no busy energy,
Moving down into our second chakra,
This is our creative womb,
Our creative center,
Really a power place that must be protected and cherished,
This is where we hold emotional boundaries between self and others,
And just gently move into your second chakra,
Ground off anything that's not serving you,
Any old programming or trauma,
Just let it go,
And finally moving down into our root chakra,
This is at the base of our spine,
This is our connection to tribe,
Community,
Financial and emotional well-being,
Just feeling safe in our bodies,
Safe in our communities,
And just ground off anything that hints of fight or flight response,
Anything that may be triggering,
Just allow you to be safe and held by Mother Earth,
We are in her protective cocoon,
Our grounding cord is as wide as our hips,
And we are held in her embrace,
We're going to journey into silence together,
There was a part of the energetic system you want to revisit,
If you want to stay in this gentle embrace of Mother Earth,
We'll just sit in silence together,
And then we'll come back to do some loving kindness,
If you find yourself with your mind wandering,
Simply allow any mental formations to move through your body and out through the grounding cord,
Just gently come into our heart chakra again,
And saddle up to that beautiful,
Gentle,
Beating heart of yours,
Awareness is the teacher,
The student,
And the lesson,
Meaning the only thing we need is awareness,
We're not trying to push away anything or change anything,
We're just becoming aware of how our heart is feeling,
You might just ask it,
Gently inquire,
And if we go back to that Shambhala warrior vow of opening up to kindness,
Bravery,
And decency,
Let's just gently call into our heart mind space,
Some act of kindness that you've shown the last few days or weeks,
Just bring that into your heart,
Some small or large act of kindness,
Sorry I misspoke,
I meant act of gentleness,
But kindness is good too,
And perhaps bring to mind some act of bravery,
I know all of you on this call,
And I've witnessed acts of bravery from each of you,
Just bring that little bit of decency,
And gentleness,
And bravery,
Those acts,
Those moments in your life,
And just hold them gently and lightly,
Knowing that you are deserving of love and compassion,
May I be well,
May I be happy,
May I know love,
May I know peace,
Let's widen our circle of awareness,
And bring in loved ones,
And friends,
Pets,
Animals,
Children,
Grandchildren,
Grandparents,
Parents,
Aunts and uncles,
Cousins,
Your dearest friends,
And let's see in them those same qualities of gentleness,
Bravery,
Decency,
May you be well,
May you be happy,
May you know love,
May you know peace,
Expanding our circle to include the people living in your town,
Or your community,
Your county,
Think of all the people you're sharing space with at the grocery store,
And the coffee shop,
And on the roads,
You might not have the same political leaning,
Or the same beliefs,
You're all human,
And we're all capable of that gentleness,
And bravery,
And decency,
Allow these people to come around you in a wider circle,
Knowing that they are human like you,
And have sufferings,
Sorrows,
And losses,
But they're here,
They're showing up,
They're doing their best,
They're getting out of bed,
And braving the world,
May you be well,
May you be happy,
May you know love,
May you know peace,
Perhaps there's one person in that crowd of colleagues,
Or sort of distant people in your space,
That you might consider an enemy,
Someone who's challenged you,
Perhaps they've harmed you,
Perhaps you feel a little animosity,
Or just friction when you think of them,
Just imagine their decency,
Imagine their capacity for decency and gentleness,
We all have,
And let's wish them well,
May you be well,
May you be happy,
May you know love,
May you know peace,
Finally we're going to bring our awareness to all sentient beings throughout the planet,
People,
Animals,
Plants,
Life on earth,
And far away corners,
Cultures we've only dreamed of,
People we have yet to meet,
They are all part of our human family,
And we're all connected by this amazing,
Nourishing planet earth,
May you be well,
May you be happy,
May you know love,
May you know peace,
We are connected to others in so many ways that we have no idea of our connection,
Science will eventually catch up to the wisdom traditions and being able to explain and understand all the interconnection that we have,
Imagine that love and light from the corners of the world kind of folding back in on itself,
Allow that love and light to come back into your own heart,
