Loving-kindness or Metta meditation is the ultimate form of generous, selfless love directed inward. This is a traditional meditation combined with new affirmations and self-kindness intentions. As it is said, hatred cannot coexist with love and kindness. It dissipates when supplanted with thoughts of love and compassion. The longest relationship you will have is the one you have with yourself. Slow down, own this relationship, and use these words these words to infuse loving-kindness.

Find a comfortable position and take a full deep breath.

Sitting with your back tall and your shoulders relaxed,

Close your eyes.

Prepare your mind and heart for a journey through the self to deliver loving kindness to every ounce of your being,

To every ounce of the physical,

Mental,

Emotional and spiritual self.

As your mind finds a state of calm,

Allow your breath to find a pattern of ease,

Deepening with every few breaths.

Loving kindness or metameditation is the ultimate form of generous,

Selfless love that is geared towards the self.

This is a traditional meditation combined with new affirmations and new self-discovery in kindness.

As it is said,

Hatred cannot coexist with love and kindness.

It dissipates when supplanted with thoughts of love and compassion.

The longest relationship you will have during your time on this earth is the relationship you have with yourself.

If that relationship does not reflect love,

Compassion and kindness,

You cannot easily reflect the same emotions and movement to those around you.

What is happening within us is reflected out into the world through our actions and the way we show up.

When we are out of balance,

We find mere relationships,

Experiences,

Feelings.

Thus,

It is important to genuinely lean into and live in a state of loving kindness.

This is why we must take the journey to befriend who we are as we are with love,

Compassion and poise.

Take another full deep breath,

Bringing in love and letting go of anything less than grace.

Allow your mind to be right here,

Right now,

Only in this space.

As your breath deepens and your heart slows,

With calmness leading your thought process,

Bring forth a happy memory.

Let it be a day that was filled with joy,

A moment where your mind and body and soul were aligned,

A day that you felt pure bliss in the movements,

In the moments.

Witness it,

See yourself inside of it,

Allow the small details of the day to fill your mind.

What do you see?

What do you hear?

What do you smell?

Witness the colors,

The people,

The movement all around you.

If there's music,

Hear that too.

Allow yourself to be so inside this precious memory and as you do,

Feel it as much as you see it.

Allow all of the good emotions to cover you and settle within.

Take another full deep breath and let it go.

Place your palms over your heart and repeat after me,

I love and honor myself.

I am grateful for this life.

It is now my intention to give all of the loving kindness I so readily give to others to myself.

With each sentence,

Open your heart and mind.

Connect your emotional body by allowing the same feelings you felt in your happy memory to be the frame in which you feed yourself deep loving compassion and kindness.

Repeat after me or allow these words to settle within you while you take ownership of these truths and intentions.

They belong to you and solely you.

Find peace within them.

Find ownership within it all.

May I be well.

May I always remember that wellness is so deep.

May I be peaceful.

May I remember that peace is always within me and that I can always return to this place to the center of me that holds beautiful harmony within me.

May I be happy.

May I see the lessons in my life for what they are.

They are teachers.

Movements to help me grow into whom I came here to be.

May this understanding infuse happiness into everything I do.

May I appreciate the gift of being alive.

I know that others will not end this day the same.

Every moment I have is precious and I lovingly welcome the gift.

I witness and live within the joy available to me.

As I do,

I mindfully spread it to others.

I am filled with loving kindness and I know that I have the power to mirror this to everyone I meet.

May I be comfortable.

May I understand that comfort is a state of mind,

A form of being that I have the power to create anything I desire through the mindset of love.

May I be healthy and strong.

I know that my health is more than bound to my physical body.

My health is emotional,

Mental,

Spiritual,

Physical,

And even financial.

I know I have the power to be healthy and strong in all of those aspects.

Today I make a conscious effort to create a picture of my overall health,

A picture that becomes my path,

A path to the fullest expression of my strength and health.

May I be at ease.

Take another full deep breath and let it go.

I know that life can be overwhelming.

I know struggle.

I've known burden,

But I also know that ease is always available to me.

From now on,

I lovingly and kindly choose ease.

May my heart radiate positive truths.

I understand that my energy speaks volumes.

I understand that how I show up is just as important as what I say and do.

From now on,

I radiate only beauty within this beautiful energy.

May I be open to love and prosperity.

In this moment,

I am letting go of everything that has held me back and I open my arms to vast possibility.

With my mind and heart open,

I know that abundance can and is moving through my life in a way that I've never imagined before.

I am prosperous.

I am love.

I am kind.

I am open to everything meant for me.

May I be free of struggle and suffering.

I live in a kind universe,

So even when unkind actions occur,

I now know I do not have to give my wellness to anything that is opposite to love,

Light,

Faith,

And beauty.

May I improve every day.

I desire to increase in every area of my life,

Not only for myself,

But for everyone around me.

I boost my emotional wellness.

I raise my physical health.

I increase my mental wellbeing.

I enhance my financial strength.

I increase everything good in this world for me,

Through me,

And for everyone.

I lovingly know I am blessed in this life.

May I see the positive in everything and everyone.

If I am love,

I now know that everyone is love too.

At the base of everything is loving kindness.

Take another full deep breath and let it go.

May I work in harmony with others.

May I know that the kindness I show myself is the kindness I receive.

Where showing kindness may have felt like a burden before,

It now feels like an open door,

A new adventure,

A new piece of me that knows that everything that happens is always for my greatest good.

Take another full deep breath and let it go.

May all of my needs be met.

May I wrap love around the beliefs that have kept me small.

May I be kind and offer myself grace,

Knowing that I am stepping into a new space and time,

A new wholer,

More fulfilled me.

May I be humble in this kindness,

Humble in this love,

Grateful for this beauty.

May I find harmony in all things and be better and better with each day that passes from here on out.

Take another full deep breath and let it go.

Repeat after me again.

I love and honor myself.

I am grateful for this life.

It is my intention to live in this beautiful,

Loving kindness.

Take another full deep breath and let it go.

When you're ready,

Bring your awareness back to the current moment.

Soften your breath.

Notice how your body feels.

Begin to notice the small movements of your fingers or your toes.

Notice the movement of things around you.

Offer yourself love,

Compassion,

And grace for the journey you just took.

Allow yourself to honor your truth.

You are strong.

You are powerful.

You are peace.

You are love.

You are kindness.

You are health.

You are happiness.

I wish you nothing but true loving kindness always.

Anytime you need a moment to come back to center,

Repeat these words and lean into your truth.

You are kindness in motion.
