This is a co-production with Kåre Landfald, who is guiding the meditation. He is the founder of Zen Coaching. The meditation is exploring your body's reactions to one specific word. The word is not presented here, since that would diminish the surprising effect on the body during the meditation.

So this is a short little exploration of the energy of a word.

Words come with certain associations and certain energetic responses in our bodies and often we're not aware of that,

Of this emotional,

Physical response to a word.

And there are certain words that have a lot of energy attached and associations attached.

So we're going to explore one word now,

So I invite you to close your eyes,

Sit comfortably someplace and prepare to hear a word and notice what happens in your body as you hear the word.

I'm going to say the word three times and each time don't think about the word but just notice what happens in your physical body as you hear this word.

So if you're ready,

Here comes the word three times,

The word is work,

Work,

Work.

And now noticing the physical sensations.

Are you relaxing and expanding inside or are you contracting?

Is there a tension physically or is there a joyful expansion?

So if there's any kind of contraction it means you are associating work with some effort,

Something difficult.

And the invitation is to explore today.

What would it take to bring more joy into my way of working?

Or what kind of work would be more joyful for me and what could move me in that direction?

So there are two sides,

Finding more joy in what I so far don't enjoy,

Because it's possible to enjoy all kinds of work if we have the right attitude,

Approach and mindfulness,

Or sometimes having the courage to go for what we truly feel a passion for.

So I welcome you to contemplate this today.
