This is a space for you to rest,
To soften,
To let go,
Not through force,
Not through effort,
But gently and with care,
Starting by finding a position that allows your body to fully surrender.
Maybe lying down with your arms gently open or sitting back with support beneath you,
Letting your spine be long,
Letting your abdomen be soft,
Letting your body begin to settle into stillness.
Closing your eyes if that feels okay or simply allowing your gaze to soften and gently taking your attention to your breath.
Inhaling gently through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth.
Just continuing in this way,
Letting the breath become slower,
Fuller.
With each exhale,
Feeling yourself sinking deeper into the moment and now starting to imagine a small fire in front of you,
Not fierce or wild,
A warm golden flame.
Maybe it flickers in a clay bowl or glows in the center of a quiet room.
Letting it be whatever image comes to you naturally.
And as you breathe,
Starting to notice what you're carrying.
Emotions,
Stories,
Repetitive thoughts,
All fears.
You don't have to name them all.
Just notice the weight.
And now gently offer one of those weights to the flame.
See it leaving your body.
Maybe from your chest,
Your abdomen,
Your shoulders.
And see it entering the fire.
Watch it burn without resistance.
Letting the fire transform it.
Staying with that breath.
And as you do,
Noticing how more space starts to open up within you.
Leaving you feeling lighter,
Freer.
And again,
Offering something else.
Maybe an old story,
A tightness.
Offer it gently to the flame.
You don't need to analyze it.
You don't need to explain.
Just let it go.
Let this be the breath that carries it away.
Let this be the moment you choose lightness.
You're not the weight.
You're not the wound.
You get to let go.
Continue to feel the gentle warmth of the soft fire supporting you.
Letting your body relax even more.
Feeling your belly rise and fall.
As the ribs move out to the sides and back in with each breath.
Letting the breath become the bellows.
Feeding the fire just enough to keep it alive.
With each out breath,
Releasing.
With each exhale,
Surrendering a little more.
Letting the warmth soak into your cells.
Letting the glow nourish your skin.
The afterglow of release.
Each out breath,
An opportunity to let go of all that you no longer need.
And then gently letting all of that go.
And just resting right here.
Feeling that lightness in your energy.
That spaciousness that's growing within you.
Taking as much time as you want or need here.
Only when you feel to.
Allowing some gentle movement through your body.
And returning to your space.
Taking a sense of that inner spaciousness with you as you do.
