Passion,
A love so great one would be willing to sacrifice for it.
Today we will connect with that great love with a short metta meditation or meditation of loving kindness.
Allow yourself to find a calm comfortable position.
On your next exhale melt in just a little more and allow your eyes to gently close.
Visualize a ball of pure love hovering above you.
Notice its light.
Notice its color.
Notice the texture or movement.
Allow yourself to feel the comfort it provides resting above you.
That in this moment you are completely safe and unconditionally loved.
Allow that comfort to sweep over you purifying every cell of your body.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice as it begins to slow and become more natural and relaxed.
With each breath in see that ball of love above you begin to expand.
Now being completely enveloped by this love we will pull it into our body with each breath.
Allow each inhale to pull in more of this love bathing your entire being in acceptance.
Notice any sensations of warmth,
Of comfort,
Of peace.
Now we get to share this love with the world around us.
As you pull in love on your inhales we will send this love to the world on our exhales.
First think of those who you are truly appreciative for and send them this love with each exhale.
Seeing that light transfer from your heart to theirs.
Next,
Think of those who are in need of healing or support.
Allow every exhale to send rejuvenation and peace from your heart to theirs.
Next,
Think of anyone you may be holding on to some resentment or anger towards.
Maybe the relationship has been strained or broken.
But in this moment while you embody love you can change the nature of that relationship.
With each long slow exhale witness the love you send be met with open arms.
Allow each stream of love to grow bigger and brighter repairing every fracture to the relationship.
Now,
See yourself at a time in your life you hold on to regret about.
From this state connect to pure love.
Send that version of yourself forgiveness.
Send compassion.
Send understanding.
Send healing.
Allow the love you feel in this moment to transfer to that moment.
Every breath allowing that younger you to begin to feel lighter and lighter.
Lastly,
Let's send this love out to the world around you.
Allow it to touch your neighbors,
The shop workers,
Those passing through and those who seem to be part of the landscape.
Allow it to touch every animal,
Every insect.
Allow it to fill the grass and the trees that provide the oxygen we breathe.
