You could sit in a chair,

If you're seated in a chair,
Lie your feet to be placed firmly on the ground.
Feel that connection of your feet to the ground.
And if you're seated on the ground or on a cushion,
Feel the sensation of whatever is underneath you.
Bring your focus to your breath.
Breathing in and out,
Just noticing.
Noticing or acknowledging your breath as it comes and goes.
To really get present,
You might give your breath the phrasing in,
Out,
As you breathe in and out.
Staying with your breath.
Taking a moment to check in.
How are you feeling right now?
Right here in this moment.
How are you feeling?
Just notice.
There's no need to fix or criticize,
Just acknowledge how you're feeling right now.
Now consider,
How do you want to feel today?
You might even imagine yourself going about your day.
How do you want to feel today?
Stating how we want to feel sets the wheels in motion.
Consider,
What is one thing you'd like to do well today?
Maybe it's finishing a project,
To connect with someone,
To stay present.
What is one thing you'd like to do well today?
Now take a deep breath in and out.
Take another deep breath in and out.
By taking these few minutes to pause and reflect,
You can feel grounded and clear and what matters most.
