Welcome to this short meditation to rest and find calm in your busy day.
Make sure that you are in a comfortable position.
You can do this practice sitting or lying down.
Whichever is best and most convenient for you.
And take any support that you need for yourself.
Any props for your body,
Cushions or blankets.
To make your body as comfortable as possible so that you won't be distracted by any physical discomfort.
And as your body begins to settle,
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Follow the air flowing in and out of your lungs.
Feel your lungs expanding as you breathe in.
And relaxing again as you breathe out.
As you breathe notice how the breath flows into the whole of your body.
Feel the tiny subtle movements that happen all over your body as you inhale and exhale.
Feel the breath flowing into the whole of your body.
Into your arms and your legs.
Your hands and your feet.
Continue to follow the breath in and out.
Listen to the gentle sound of the breath as the air fills the body.
And as the breath flows out of the body.
Now bring your awareness to the eyebrow centre.
The space between your eyebrows.
See a golden light glowing at the space between the eyebrows.
Illuminating the space between the eyebrows.
Move the awareness to the space between the collarbone.
See golden light illuminating the space between the collarbones.
And the right shoulder.
The right shoulder bathed in golden light.
And the right elbow.
The right wrist.
The tip of the right hand thumb.
The tip of the right index finger.
The tip of the right middle finger.
The tip of the right ring finger.
The tip of the right little finger.
The right wrist.
The right elbow.
The right shoulder.
The space between the collarbone.
The left shoulder.

The left elbow.
The left wrist.
The tip of the left hand thumb.
The tip of the left index finger.
The tip of the left middle finger.
The tip of the left ring finger.
The tip of the left little finger.
The left wrist.
The left elbow.
The left shoulder.
The space between the collarbones.
The centre of the chest.
Golden light illuminating the centre of the chest.
The left side of the chest.
The centre of the chest.
The right side of the chest.
The centre of the chest.
Keep the awareness at the centre of the chest.
With every inhalation more golden light flows into the centre of the chest.
See the chest glowing brightly with golden light.
The heart bathed in golden light.
The lungs bathed in golden light.
Resting the awareness in the golden light at your chest.
Take a moment now to make a positive intention for yourself for the rest of the day.
See yourself carrying this feeling of calm that you have created into every event or activity.
See yourself flowing through life with ease.
See your day unfolding for your greatest wellbeing.
And now slowly begin to turn your awareness back outward.
Notice any sounds in your environment around you.
Feel into the feeling of your body resting into the support beneath you.
And begin to make some movements with your fingers and toes to reawaken your body.
When you are ready slowly open your eyes and return to your day.
