After a decade of being a coach, classroom teacher, mentor and advocate in Oakland and Richmond, CA, JG Larochette found mindfulness to counter the anxiety and depression he was experiencing. Shortly after he brought it to his students which catalyzed the creation of the nonprofit Mindful Life Project in 2012. MLP helps transform schools from the inside out with innovative and comprehensive mindfulness programming to schools and districts both in California and beyond.
