Welcome.

My name is Jungjin,

And I'll be guiding you in this five-minute focus reset to gently return to the present moment.

This meditation can be practiced in any space with your eyes closed or open.

Begin to settle into a posture of your choice.

We'll begin by taking one deep breath together.

Breathing in through the nose,

And breathing out,

Arrive in your body,

Bringing your awareness to the chest.

Notice how the chest rises and falls with each breath.

Simply observe this natural movement.

Next,

Place your awareness inside the nostrils,

Feeling the cool inhale and the warm exhale.

Notice the sensations inside the nostrils as you breathe in and out through the nose.

Taking another deep breath together,

Breathing in through the nose,

And breathing out,

Arrive in the space that you're currently in.

If your eyes are open,

Observe your surroundings without labeling or commenting.

If your eyes are closed,

Simply sense the space around you.

Tune in to the sounds that you can hear.

Notice if there's a scent in the air.

Feel the point of contact between your body and the surface beneath you,

Noticing the sense of touch against the back of your body.

We return to the present moment through the senses,

Through movement,

Through breath,

Remembering that perfection and permanence are illusions.

We practice again and again,

Gently bringing our focus back to the here and now.

Come back to this meditation any time that you need to reset your focus and return to the present moment.

Thank you for joining me.
