Autopilot does not run this show.

My emotional reflexes do not run my life.

Lacking awareness is where I used to be.

Here and now,

When I've got high stress and emotional overwhelm,

I sit with my safety plan.

I deploy safety practices and safety signals to my entire body.

I am regulating myself now.

I recognize what happened outside me and inside me that activated the red alerts.

I also see how my reactions are about my past.

I breathe deeply and I see why I'm so comfortable.

Going into autopilot,

I keep on breathing as I see how autopilot is hurting me now.

I turn my attention to my senses.

I count backwards if that helps.

I change my attention to the physical environment around me if that helps.

I turn my focus to my body and the sensation of my breathing.

I take the remote control of my attention and I turn it to self-regulation.

I keep breathing through this.

I am observing my thoughts.

I say the opposite if I need to.

I am observing what my impulses are saying.

I am widening the window to react differently.

I am observing my beliefs behind my impulses.

I am stepping through a new door to respond better than before.

I continue my powerful practices.

As I apply my tools for self-regulation,

I am leaving behind my big reactions and coming here to self-regulation.

I am feeling more and more regulated.

I picture what represents self-regulation for me.

As I continue using the remote control of my attention,

I turn it to self-regulation.

I am empowered for self-regulation.

When I feel impulses,

When I feel triggers,

When I feel out of control,

I am practicing self-regulation.

I am strengthening my skills,

My abilities,

And my tools.

I am feeling better now.

I am feeling so much better now.
