Welcome,
I'm Carly.
This meditation is best done in a dark room or with an eye mask on.
First we do some breath work and then we move into your daily visualisation.
Breath is more instantly effective on your state than diet or exercise.
The first thing we say when someone is stressed is take a deep breath.
It can calm your nervous system and ground you.
This practice will help you breathe better now and today.
We're going to begin with box breath.
So you inhale for a count of four,
Hold for a count of four,
Exhale for a count of four,
Hold for a count of four.
Let's begin.
Sitting comfortably with your back straight,
Shoulders relaxed,
Focusing on your breath.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale,
Three,

Hold,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,

Hold,
Three,

Exhale,
Three,

Hold,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale,
Three,
Two,
One,
Hold,
Three,
Two,
One.
Now begin breathing normally through your nose.
Allow your breath to flow easily in and out without focus or concentration.
Connect to that darkness behind your closed eyes now and allow your awareness to move outside of your body and unfurl itself into the endless darkness.
Stretch your awareness out to the left and right side of your body as far as you want to.
Stretch your awareness out over past the top of your head.
There's no ceiling,
There's just blackness,
This sensory place of nothingness,
This place of consciousness,
Letting go of all thought,
Being in this expansive blackness.
If your mind wanders,
Give yourself permission to start over.
Find the blackness,
Find the stillness.
What does your day look like?
What is the best version of this day?
Who do you speak with?
What do you do?
What is the outcome of your actions?
And how does it feel?
Connect to the felt experience.
Do you feel free,
Joyful,
Excited,
Grateful,
Relieved?
Cultivate that emotion as you see the highlights of your day playing out in your mind's eye.
Feel that sense of joy and achievement as if it has already happened.
Connect to the feeling and now your day begins.
