Does getting to sleep feel stressful for you? This is for you. This guided meditation begins with easy and relaxing pranayama (breathing) to drop into your body and then release all thoughts and stresses. Followed by a short guided journey to nothingness then back to your body at which point you are deeply calm and peaceful. There is no sound at the end of this meditation.

As you settle in and get comfortable,

Take a deep breath.

And now notice your breath.

Feel it as it's coming in and feel it as it's flowing out.

When you focus on your breath in this way,

You're pulling all of the parts of yourself that are scattered,

All of the energy of you back into your body,

Into this moment.

You are anchoring your mind to the breath,

Letting go of all thoughts of the past and the future.

Breathing fully into this moment.

Breathing fully into your body.

There is nothing before this breath.

There is nothing after this breath.

There is only this breath.

There is only this breath.

There is only this breath.

There is only this breath.

There is only this breath.

Now that you are fully collected and present,

We move into the cleansing breath.

Breathe in deeply and breathe out,

Releasing anything that you are ready to let go of.

Think of your breath like a wave of water that washes out the debris,

The rubble,

Any negative thought patterns,

Old pain or trauma.

Take a deep inhale and on your exhale,

Let go.

Breathe in this way,

Consciously releasing on your exhales.

Breathe in this way,

Consciously releasing on your exhales.

In this moment,

Can you trust that your breath,

Your prana,

Your life force is able to wash away and release anything and everything that no longer serves you.

And as it's released,

It transmutes into light,

Dissolves into nothing,

It ceases being.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Allow the sky to fill your mind.

Now see the sky getting darker.

The blues turning into blacks.

Until there is nothing but black space all around you.

Your consciousness rests peacefully in this space.

Feel the expansiveness of it.

Stretch your consciousness out in this space.

It feels right,

Peaceful.

There is nothing.

You are part of it all.

You are one with space.

Come back to your body now.

Notice your breath.

Notice the darkness around your body.

This same endless space.

It's comforting.

It's peaceful.

You are free.

You are exactly where you're meant to be.

You can let go into sleep.
