Welcome,
My name is Kate.
This is a simple grounding meditation to help you feel at ease with any heaviness and uncertainty you may be feeling.
There is a lot happening in this world and it can feel really overwhelming.
And though we each take those things in and carry them in a different way,
Our common ground is that we are all living on this earth and we all know when something isn't feeling quite right.
So let's take a few minutes to slow down and tap into our breath.
Wherever you are,
Find a comfortable seat.
Lean back and take a moment to let your body nestle in.
Once you feel fully supported,
Start noticing your breath.
Take a slow breath in and a slow breath out.
Close your eyes and just focus on this beautiful,
Powerful breath.
In and out.
Allow your thoughts to wander.
Allow your body to relax.
Let your shoulders drop.
Allow your jaw to loosen.
Maybe wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Just settle in here a bit more.
Continue with your breath.
In and out.
Notice your chest expanding as you breathe in and collapsing as you exhale.
Be here for a moment.
Notice the simple movement.
In and out.
Coming back to the simplicity of our breath allows us to detach from the world a bit and focus back to our being.
It allows us to acknowledge that we are still here and we still have so much to offer.
So much to explore.
So much to contribute.
If it feels good,
Place your hand on your heart as you continue to breathe deeply in and out.
Acknowledge just being here.
In whatever state you are currently in,
Whatever you may be feeling,
Know that you are supported.
You are not alone.
You are whole.
You are here.
You are powerful.
Continue with your breath slowly and deeply.
In and out.
If your hand is still on your heart,
Let it be a reminder that you can come back to this position whenever it feels good.
Checking your heart and your existence throughout the day can be an incredibly powerful thing.
So often our days rush by us and we forget to feel.
But the simple act of checking in with ourselves and our breath can bring us back to feeling safe and secure.
You are okay.
You are okay.
Creative soul,
I wish for you peace today and always.
I will leave you here in this beautiful space of breathing and acknowledging.
As the music continues to play,
Just take time to be.
There is no rush.
There is no rush.
There is no rush.
