In this one-minute guided mindfulness session, we'll use a 4/6 breath technique to bring you into the here and now. There are so many little moments throughout the day that we are waiting - in line, at a red light, etc. We can use these micro moments to build our muscle of mindful presence. Let's take a pause together to refresh your body, clear your mind, and open up space for deeper, more expansive breaths.

Waiting in line can feel like such a waste of time,

But sometimes it's unavoidable.

What it does is gives people who have no time an opportunity to practice a little bit of mindfulness.

You'll start to draw your awareness into the breath,

Feeling the air as it comes in and the air as it comes out.

I want you to start to slow this breath down,

So we'll do it together,

Breathing in for 4,

Holding at the top,

Relax your shoulders.

You'll exhale for 6,

Inhaling for 4,

Holding,

Relax the shoulders and easing out for 6,
