A short, simple and easy to follow meditation to focus on what brings you joy in your life. Sometimes in the chaos of life we loose our sense of purpose and we need to be reminded of the things that bring us joy. This meditation is for all levels of experience. This meditation will help guide you into a feeling of gratitude and warmth.

Hello,

Lovely humans.

Before we get started,

Find a comfortable seat.

Maybe sit on a cushion if that feels more welcoming to you.

Take some time to adjust yourself wherever you've landed.

Take a moment to roll your shoulders up towards your ears,

Back and then down.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Fill up the lungs and then exhale,

Let that breath go.

Slowly sinking into your stillness.

Close down the windows of your eyes.

Feel your sits bones root down into the ground that's beneath you.

Feel this upward energy traveling up through the spine,

Feeling yourself grow a little bit taller,

Lengthening up through the crown of the head.

Allow your shoulders to drop down away from your ears and settle here.

Bring your awareness to the space between each hemisphere of your brain.

The space between each eyebrow.

Now traveling down to the throat and notice what comes up for you there.

Does it feel like it's hard to swallow?

Or like you're not quite getting the words out right?

Move your awareness down to your spine,

To your heart space.

And how does this area feel for you today in this moment?

And as you focus your attention to your heart and the space that surrounds it,

Bring into mind a person or a pet or a place or something that brings you the uttermost joy in your life.

Think of it.

Hold it.

Softly turn up the corners of your lips.

Take a deep breath and allow that breath to act as a gentle and giant hug for this thing that brings you the most joy in your life.

Allow this warmth of joy to wash over your entire body.

Sit with this warmth.

Hold your hand to your heart and let it all settle.

Take a moment to thank yourself for taking a few moments out of your day to focus on what brings you joy in your life.

Come back to this meditation whenever you feel like you are lacking a sense of purpose or you're lacking that feeling of joy in your day.
