Welcome to your guided meditation practice.
Get comfortable in the seated position of your choice with your hips higher than your knees and a tall,
Neutral spine.
Rest your hands wherever they naturally fall.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Together,
Let's take three deep,
Slow breaths.
With each exhale,
Consciously let go,
Relaxing your face,
Shoulders,
Hands,
Belly,
Whole body.
Take a deep breath in and slow breath out.
Deep breath in,
Slow breath out.
Consciously let go.
Deep breath in,
Slow breath out.
Feel sensations of your exhalation.
Let your breath resume its natural flow and slowly align your attention with it.
I invite you to give your fullest attention to your breath at the nostrils.
Gently notice the breath as it enters and leaves the nostrils.
You may feel your breath at the rim of your nostrils or just inside your nose or on the upper lip beneath your nose.
Wherever you feel it,
Rest your attention there.
Notice different sensations,
The flow of air through your nostrils,
The rhythm,
Is it smooth or choppy,
The pace,
Is it fast or slow,
The quality,
Is it shallow or deep.
Notice the difference in temperature as you breathe in and you breathe out.
As soon as you notice that your mind is no longer on your breath,
Mindfully bring it back and anchor it there.
It's normal that your mind wanders to different thoughts,
Sounds,
Feelings.
But every time you gently bring your awareness back.
Don't try to control your breath,
Simply watch it.
Notice the feeling of your inhaling and exhaling breath as it goes in and out at your nostrils.
Noticing different sensations.
There is nothing to solve,
Nothing to fix,
Nothing else to do,
Nowhere else to be.
But here in this amazing present moment with your breath,
Your only job is to sit and watch the air going in and out of your nose.
Breathing,
Feeling this moment and allowing everything to be as it is.
Breathing is a present moment process.
It is always happening in the here and now.
By just observing our breath,
We are automatically placed in the present moment,
Where we want to be as much as possible.
