Hey there.

Welcome.

I'm Lauren Behr.

I'm really glad you're here.

Let's just take a moment together to land.

Wherever you are,

Get comfy.

Let your shoulders drop.

Unclench your jaw.

Maybe let out a soft sigh.

There's no pressure here.

Just presence.

Let's go ahead and take a deep breath in as we let the tension of the day melt away and we exhale nice and easy.

Again,

Take a breath in and imagine it's like cool night air full of possibility.

And breathe out,

Letting anything heavy drift away.

So for this meditation,

We're dropping into the soft magic of a new moon.

It's that quiet time when the sky goes dark and everything feels like it's holding its breath.

A blank page.

A fresh start.

We're going to take a little journey now to a place that's yours,

Imagined or remembered.

Where new things can begin.

Picture yourself walking through a wild forest trail at dusk.

The sun has dipped just below the trees and the air is thick with summer sweetness.

A breeze stirs the leaves and the earth is warm beneath your feet.

You follow the path until you reach a small clearing.

There's a flat sun warmed rock beside a slow moving brook and you sit down there.

Just the right shape to hold your body.

The water is babbling slightly,

Gentle and steady.

You can hear crickets beginning their nighttime song.

Just above the stream,

Little fireflies are there to flicker looking like tiny stars that have come down to play.

Breathe here.

You're safe here.

You're supported here.

The forest holds you like an old friend.

Above you,

The sky is deep indigo.

The moon is dark tonight,

Invisible to the eye,

But full of quiet power.

The new moon is a time to plant seeds.

Not the kind that you see grow right away,

But the soul kind.

The ones that need stillness and darkness and your trust.

So go ahead in your mind or your heart and whisper a wish.

A beginning.

A feeling you want more of.

Something you're ready to grow into.

It doesn't have to be big.

It just has to be true.

Imagine the brook carrying your whispers downstream like an offering.

The fireflies blinking in gentle approval.

The trees swaying like they're nodding along.

All of nature is listening.

You are not alone.

Let yourself soak in this moment.

Let the cool breeze brush your cheeks.

Let the rock beneath you remind you how grounded you are.

Let the water,

The fireflies,

The moonless sky hold you.

You are part of this wild world.

You are made of the same mystery that moves the tides and opens blossoms and brings the light back again and again.

Even if you can't see the path yet,

It's unfolding in front of you.

Let's take a few quiet moments to just be in this feeling.

Soft,

Still,

And connected.

And now gently,

When you're ready,

Start to return.

Wiggle your fingers.

Roll your shoulders.

Take in a breath like it's the first one of a brand new chapter.

And then exhale,

Steady and sure.

You can come back to this place any time,

To the rock,

The stream,

The fireflies.

They'll be here waiting for you.

Thanks for spending this new moon moment with me.

Until next time,

Keep dreaming.

Keep planting.

Keep trusting.

Go gently.
