Hello and welcome.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
When you found that place,
Settle in and take a moment to familiarise yourself with what's around you,
Allowing your nervous system to regulate into a sense of safety.
And when you're ready,
But only when you're ready,
Close your eyes,
Allow your shoulders to just drop a little bit further from your ears without forcing them,
Just soften them.
And take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth.
Take a few more breaths as you relax into this present moment and into this meditation.
Today,
We are going to breathe,
Soften and remind ourselves of a simple but very powerful truth,
You were never too much.
The world may have told you otherwise.
Maybe you've been asked to be quieter,
To be smaller,
Different.
But right now,
In this space,
You don't have to change a thing.
You are exactly as you should be.
Let's begin by grounding ourselves with the breath.
Take a deep inhale through the nose,
Filling your lungs completely,
Belly,
Ribs,
Chest,
And hold it just for a moment.
And exhale slowly,
Releasing any tension from your chest,
Your ribs,
Your belly.
Let's do this again.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold one,
Two,
And exhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold one,
Two,
Exhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
And as you breathe,
Imagine every inhale bringing in love and every exhale letting go of old doubts.
Breathing in,
Belly,
Ribs,
Chest,
Holding at the top for the count of two and exhaling all the way to the count of five.
Inhaling one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold and exhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
In your own time,
Allow yourself to settle into a rhythm,
Inhaling for four,
Holding for two,
Exhaling for five.
I'm right here.
Now as you continue to breathe naturally,
Bring to mind a time when you felt like you were too much.
Maybe you were too loud,
Too sensitive,
Maybe too passionate,
Too emotional.
Whatever it was,
Simply acknowledge that moment and if you can't find that moment,
Don't worry,
Just continue to breathe naturally,
Enjoying being in this present moment,
There's nowhere else to be,
Nothing else to do.
And if you found that moment when you were too much,
Imagine wrapping it up in the warmth of a blanket of your attention,
Of your acknowledgement,
Of your understanding of how it felt.
Wrap it up nice and snug.
Hold it.
Hold it with your whole being.
And with each breath you take,
As you breathe out,
Repeat these affirmations either silently or out loud,
That's up to you.
I am enough,
Just as I am.
I am enough,
Just as I am.
Breathing in,
Belly,
Ribs,
Chest.
And as you breathe out,
I am enough,
Just as I am.
Stay with the breath and on every exhale,
Breathe the words,
My energy is a gift.
My energy is a gift.
My energy is and has always been a gift.
Stay with the breath,
Breathing in through the nose,
Breathing out through the mouth.
On the next out breath,
Repeat,
My emotions are valid.
My emotions are valid.
My emotions have always been valid.
Stay with the breath,
Breathing in,
2,
3,
4,
Hold,
1,
2,
Exhale,
2,
3,
4,
5.
Breathing in.
And on the next exhale,
I deserve to take up all the space I need.
I deserve to take up all the space I need.
I deserve to take up all the space I need.
Stay with the breath.
On your next out breath,
I do not need to shrink to be loved.
I do not need to shrink to be loved.
I do not need to shrink to be loved.
Let these words settle into your being.
I am right here.
Rest in your own acceptance,
Your own love,
Your own holding.
Now picture yourself as a radiant light,
Your whole body radiating light.
What kind of light is your light?
Is it a flame?
Is it twinkly?
Is it just a warm blanket?
What color is it?
Make it expansive.
Make it beautiful.
Make it limitless.
Because that is yours.
That is how extraordinary you are.
There is no too much.
There is no such thing.
It's not yours,
They're not your words.
So you can gently,
Gently put them down.
Because you are whole.
You are welcome.
All of you,
All of you is welcome in this world.
Take your time to bathe in your very own light,
In your own beauty.
And as we come to the end of this meditation,
I invite you to return to your breath.
Just observe your natural rhythm,
Just observe yourself being breathed and feel your body in this moment,
Supported from beneath,
Supported by the earth,
Supported in your own love.
And take one last deep,
Deep inhale.
And as you exhale,
Imagine releasing any lingering doubt or tension.
Let it go,
Along with the words,
Too much.
Let it all just float away.
And feel what it feels to be free from those words,
Free from doubt,
Full of your own love.
How does it feel to be you right now?
And when you feel ready,
I invite you to gently wriggle your fingers and wriggle your toes.
Bring some movement back into your body,
Whatever that looks like.
Bring your awareness back to the present moment.
And when you're ready,
Only when you're ready,
Gently,
Gently,
Butterfly,
Open your eyes.
And I invite you to carry this truth with you today.
You were never,
Never too much.
You are beautifully,
Fully,
Unapologetically you.
Have a lovely day.
