My name is Linda Hall and I'm a teacher here on Insight Timer.
Today's meditation helps you cultivate the healing energy of joy by connecting you with the life force within you and around you,
Using a combination of practices including mindfulness,
Grounding,
Breathing and positive visualization.
Allow your eyes to comfortably close.
As you do so,
Breathe out down the full length of your body,
Allowing it to soften and release what it's brought with it here and no longer needs to carry.
Take your awareness down to the contact your body is making with the surface directly beneath it.
Leave more of your weight to its support.
Notice the surface is steady.
Notice the steadiness is there for you now.
Sit back directly onto the steadiness.
Breathe down to the steadiness.
Breathe up from the steadiness.
Let it steady you.
In your own time,
Notice the ebb and flow of your breath.
Become aware of the sensation as air enters and leaves your nostrils.
Notice the air is cool as it enters.
Warm as it leaves.
Allow your breath to slow and lengthen.
As you do so,
Notice the expansion of the in-breath,
The release of the out.
Notice your breathing in from the space around you and out into it.
Become aware of the touch of the air on your face and body.
Notice it's just there,
Asking nothing of you,
Demanding nothing from you.
And allow yourself to soften and sit back some more,
Letting everything be as it is.
Notice the play of light and shade through your closed eyelids.
Right round your peripheral vision.
And the gentle tapestry of the here and now.
Let it all be there.
Notice your breath ebbs and flows.
It's out to the horizon spreading all the way round you,
Into the distance and beyond.
Notice the spaciousness.
Height of sky above.
You have all of this space yourself.
Take as much as you need.
You can breathe from the farthest horizons if you wish.
Breathe the spaciousness into you.
Breathe it deep.
As you do so,
Breathe in the life force of the universe.
The sustaining life force flowing through and around all living things.
The force made up of dancing atoms of light connecting everything.
This light has the energy of renewal,
Positivity and joy at its centre.
Welcome it into your being.
Allow it to surround and nourish every cell in your body.
Breathe it into places within you that have got full up,
Closed off or something else.
Allow every part of you to be bathed in the healing light of life force energy.
Healing your body.
Healing your mind.
Feeling the you inside.
Allow this beautiful,
Pure light to spread and grow within you.
Receive its positive,
Joyous energy into the depth of your being.
Every cell of your body receiving joy.
Opening to joy.
The energy of joy renewing and strengthening every level within you.
Calming you.
Reassuring you.
Uplifting you.
Notice the light of joy there within you now.
Breathe with it.
Send the joy effortlessly ahead of you into your future.
Send the joy to someone or somewhere that comes to mind.
Feel joy and feel it in the little one.
Give thanks for the joy.
Know the joy is always there deep within you,
Beneath all the disturbances on your surface.
Allow the power of the universal life force around you now and the joy within you to combine to form one light,
One joyous loving light surrounding you and within you.
Give thanks for all that is good in your life.
Thank yourself for being you.
Give thanks for what you have in this moment.
In your own time,
Become aware of the ebb and flow of your breath.

Notice your breathing in from the space around you and out into it.
When you are ready,
You can draw this meditation to a close and move forward with joy.
Give thanks for all that is good in your life.
