This is a meditation for people of color and for those who love and support them.
We are living in a time period where it is important to begin to hold space for our own inner self,
While the world is in pain and grief.
Now more than ever,
It is important to hold space for whatever we are feeling,
So that when we reenter the world and communicate with others and connect,
We do it from a place of love and trying to understand as well as to educate.
So in this meditation,
We will be grounding down and holding space for whatever it is we are feeling,
Knowing that it is OK.
So come to a comfortable seated position,
Rely on down,
And begin to really just tune on into this safe space you have created as you begin to prepare for relaxation and healing.
Begin to tune on in and ask yourself,
How am I feeling today?
Even without judgment,
Criticism,
Or attaching a storyline,
Just allow yourself to ask that question.
How am I feeling today?
And as you tune on into your feelings,
Holding space for them,
Take a nice big deep inhale into the body.
Hold that inhale for 5,
4,
3,
2,
1,
And exhale.
Let it go.
Take another nice big deep breath into the body,
Breathing on in,
Holding that inhale for 4,
3,
2,
1,
And exhale.
And let it go.
Taking a moment to breathe on in,
Holding for 3,
2,
1,
Exhale,
Letting go.
Taking a nice big deep inhale,
And exhale,
And begin to allow yourself to just breathe naturally,
Connecting and tuning on into your breath,
Tuning on into your body.
Taking a moment to hear the pitter patter,
The rain,
And just allowing yourself to feel the cleansing energy of your breath washing over the feet,
The legs,
The ankles,
Relaxing that into the earth,
Breathing in and exhaling.
Feeling the cleansing energy of rain and breath washing over the belly,
The pelvis,
The glute muscles,
The lower back,
Breathing in and exhaling,
Sighing out,
Letting go.
Feeling the cleansing energy of the rain wash over the shoulders,
The back,
The neck,
All the way down the arms to the fingertips,
Letting go,
Releasing any tension,
Any emotions you feel that no longer serve you.
Releasing tension in the jaw,
Softening the eyes,
Releasing the space between the brows and just allowing yourself to soften the eyes,
Maybe even to a close.
Taking a moment to be in this space of healing and deep relaxation.
As you are here releasing and letting go of all of the stuck energy,
Any heavy energy,
Anything that you really feel does not serve you on your life path,
On your journey,
Begin to repeat these affirmations.
