Madelyne Schermer

Madelyne Schermer (she/her) is a Trained Mindfulness Facilitator through the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC)—part of the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior—and a Certified Mindfulness Teacher–Professional (CMT-P) with the International Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA). Madelyne teaches mindfulness in schools, hospitals, religious institutions, workplaces, and community groups, and also facilitates Forest Bathing and nature-based meditation experiences. She has maintained a meditation practice for over 25 years, dedicating herself exclusively to Vipassana (Insight) Meditation since 2018. Grounded in both science and ancient wisdom, secular mindfulness enhances focus, resilience, physical health, and overall well-being. These benefits are accessible to anyone seeking to bring mindfulness into their personal or professional life—in education, healthcare, business, or community settings. This is a really nice balance between silence to practice and a gentle voice guiding you back to the practice. I’ve used it two days in a row now, and I can feel my ability to be present during the day increasing. There’s more choice about where my attention goes.
