Explore MeditationHello! I first began meditating about five years ago, during my early college years. I am often asked why I began meditating. The answer is multifactorial: I have always had an interest in the Eastern contemplative traditions; I was experiencing debilitating social anxiety; I was taking a religious studies course that exposed me to the practice. Since then, I've completed two meditation retreats: one in Thailand, and the other in India.
