Today we're practicing yoga nidra to cultivate mindfulness and foster inner peace.
Ensure you're in a comfortable,
Quiet space where you can lie down without interruptions.
Close your eyes,
Soften your body and get ready to journey into a deep state of awareness.
Begin by focusing on the sounds around you.
Don't judge or identify them,
Just observe.
Let them come and go like waves upon the shore and then slowly shift your awareness from these external sounds to the silence within.
Let's awaken the senses,
Visualize a juicy lemon,
Feel its texture,
Smell its fresh scent,
Taste its tanginess and let it fade away.
Then visualize a cozy fire,
Feel its warmth,
Hear the crackling woods,
See the dancing flames.
Let this also slowly fade away,
The warmth,
The crackling wood,
Dancing flames.
Let's explore the concept of opposites.
Imagine yourself in a frozen landscape,
Feel the chill in your body and then switch to a sunny beach.
Feel the sun's warmth on your skin and move between these opposites a few times,
Experiencing each fully the frozen landscape and the sunny beach.
Visualize a calm and peaceful place like a forest,
A beach,
A mountain.
Feel the peace inherent in this place permeating your being.
Repeat silently,
I am peace,
I am calm,
I am,
I am.
As we end this practice,
Retain the feelings and the experiences from the session.
Keep your eyes closed and stay in this serene state as long as you wish.
I'm bowing down in front of you as you're embracing mindfulness and cultivating inner peace.
