Megan Darnell

Internal Family Systems Therapist, IFS Level 1 & 2

Megan Darnell is a trauma-informed therapist specialising in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and emotional eating. She works with self-aware women who feel stuck in patterns of emotional eating, self-sabotage, over-giving, and nervous system overwhelm, even after doing therapy, mindset work, or personal development. Megan’s work focuses on healing the protective parts of the nervous system that drive coping behaviours like emotional eating, shutdown, and burnout, rather than trying to control symptoms with discipline or insight alone. Through parts-based therapy and trauma-informed integration, she helps women soften shame, rebuild emotional safety, and create lasting change from the inside out. Her approach is grounded, relational, and deeply respectful of the body’s wisdom.

Wonderful questions. IFS is such heart opening work for me.

I'll have to do this multiple times, because my inner critic struggled to isolate the *first* incident. To be honest, the very first time might have been before I was born... Still, I did go ahead and talk to one of the younger me's in here, and it at least went through the motions of letting a burden go. So that's something.

Just brilliant! I've struggled to find the root cause of my inner critic but this helped inmensely. PS: Sound could be a bit higher
