Welcome,

Friends.

I'm Meg Burton-Tudman,

And I'm so grateful you're here.

I invite you to position yourself comfortably,

Seated,

Laying down,

Or even standing if you prefer,

And start to lengthen your breath.

Breathe in a little more deeply through your nose,

And follow that with a deeper exhale out your nose.

In this meditation,

We'll use our breath to activate and cleanse different acupoints that act as reservoirs of energy.

I like to think of those points as gates that we can open to help energy flow and to help us feel more relaxed.

Before we begin,

I invite you to,

From a place of compassion,

Scan your body,

Beginning at your head and slowly working your way down to your toes.

No need to judge or criticize.

Instead,

Tune inward and just notice what is it like to be you in your skin,

In your energy field at this moment.

Continue to breathe deeply and imagine a gentle hand pulling your hair away from your head in order to create more length and space along your spine.

Feel yourself lengthen from the bottom of your spine to the top of your head.

You are creating space already for energy to flow more freely and for your body to relax more completely.

On your next exhale,

Allow your face to relax as you unclench your jaw and soften the space between your eyebrows.

Continue to breathe deeply.

Bring your attention to the inside of your body and focus on the space about three finger widths below your belly button.

In that space,

Picture an imaginary gate.

When you're ready,

Take a deep breath in and imagine your breath is a ball of healing light about the size of a large marble.

That ball of healing light opens the gate and on your next exhale,

Send that energy through the open gate.

Continue to breathe deeply and focus on moving that ball of light in and out of the now open gate.

You've cleared the first gate and energy can now move more freely.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

The gate remains open and you feel a sense of relaxation in your lower abdomen.

Make sure your breath again is a ball of healing light.

As you exhale,

Imagine your breath,

Your ball of healing light traveling out that first open gate and then down the front of your body to the space at the root of your spine.

Picture another gate and breathe in to open this one.

Refocus on your breath as a ball of healing light at the base of your spine between your legs.

Allowing that part of your body to unclench and relax.

Connect your breath to that ball of light and move it back and forth,

Clearing and cleansing that energy center at the base of your spine.

On your next exhale,

Allow your breath to move through the open gate and up your back.

You're now at another gate at your tailbone.

Imagine your breath of healing energy opening the gate and moving through it.

You're still inside your body.

Continue to breathe deeply and feel any tension in the lowest part of your back.

Release and relax.

With each breath,

Your ball of healing light becomes stronger and stronger.

Your healing light is able to move back and forth freely through the open gate at your tailbone.

When you're ready,

Take another deep inhale and as you exhale,

Move your ball of healing light through the open gate and continue up your spine to the space behind your belly button.

As you breathe in,

Open this gate and then allow each breath to help your lower back relax.

Your deep breaths strengthen that ball of light and help it to clear anything stuck in that area.

With your next breath out,

Move through the open gate and continue up your spine.

Pause and imagine a gate between your shoulder blades.

Just like before,

Inhale deeply and allow your breath to open the gate.

Your breath of healing light allows the stress between your shoulder blades to lessen.

Feel the ease of breathing as your body relaxes.

Your focus is right behind your heart.

Feel the strong healing energy you've created with your breath.

Your upper back is bathed in healing energy.

Savor that feeling and continue to breathe deeply.

As you exhale,

Move your breath of healing energy as well as your focus to the base of your neck.

Another gate is ready for you to open.

Breathe in deeply and allow your healing ball of light to move through the gate at the base of your neck.

You are right at the bony prominence at the bottom of your neck.

Shine warmth and light on that area from within.

Each breath cleanses a little more in this energy center,

Allowing you to release what no longer serves you.

When you're ready,

Breathe out and move that warmth and light through the open gate and up to the base of your skull.

Your breath of healing energy effortlessly floats up to the base of your skull and enters another gate.

Continue to breathe deeply and allow your body to continue to relax.

Be present right at the base of your skull with deep,

Steady breaths.

Your ball of healing light moves back and forth through the gate.

As you exhale,

Imagine moving through the gate at the base of your skull and floating up to the gate at the very top of your head.

Feel a sense of lightness and freedom as you breathe in and enter the gate at the top of your head.

You are in a sacred space.

Your connection to the divine.

Allow it to be quiet and still as you breathe deeply.

Your breath of healing energy is still strong and as you breathe out,

Your ball of healing light moves through the open gate at the top of your head and glides toward the front of your body.

Simply pause in the space between your eyebrows and open another gate.

Continue to breathe deeply and bathe your forehead inside and out in that beautiful healing light.

You are still inside your body and you breathe out to move through the open gate between your eyebrows and down through your sinuses and then breathe in through another gate at the roof of your mouth.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Imagine swallowing the healing light.

Watch it move down your throat and the back of your neck and to your sternum,

Fearing and healing each part of your body it passes through.

Pause and breathe deeply into your sternum,

Your heart center.

With each breath,

Your healing ball of energy and light gets stronger.

Feel that sense of warmth,

Of love,

Of compassion and of kindness.

Continue to breathe deeply.

You've made a full loop through multiple gates throughout the front and back of your body.

You've opened each gate and allowed your body to release tension and stress.

Take a moment to bask in the healing light of your breath.

I invite you to follow your breath in a loop beginning in your lower abdomen,

Traveling down your body and up your entire spine and down through your head and torso.

Continue to imagine the power of your breath as each loop allows you to release and feel more peaceful.

The next time you reach your heart center,

Pause and slowly start to bring yourself back to this time and space.

Take your time,

There's no hurry.

Allow your breath to bring you back,

Feeling grounded,

Balanced and relaxed.

Take one more moment and scan your body again to notice how you feel.
