Hello,
Welcome to today's meditation where we are going to do some visualization.
If you'd like to get started,
You can sit in a comfortable position or perhaps lie down.
Drop your gaze or close your eyes and begin to draw your attention inward.
In this visualization today,
We're going to create a garden.
You get to decide what kind of garden you would like to create here.
So in your mind's eye,
Do a little planning.
As you imagine yourself walking barefoot through the grass,
You come to a patch of soil,
Soft,
Dark,
Rich earth that has been tilled and prepared for your very special garden.
And you get to decide what type of seeds you're going to plant here today.
Perhaps you will have a herb garden.
You will be able to smell the smells and the flavors under the hot sun of the medicines as they grow.
Or maybe your happiest garden is with flowers of all different shades,
Vibrant colors.
Or maybe you choose to grow a vegetable garden with lots of delicious,
Nutritious food that will nourish your body when harvest begins.
Your garden is your creation.
You can have it any way you want and the results will be something that you have created for yourself,
For you,
By you.
You take time and care to plant the seeds in special little rows.
You water the garden and then you walk away and you trust.
You trust that what you have planted will sprout and grow.
You tend to what you can,
But you trust that the seeds will grow.
You've planned everything right.
The timing is right.
The soil is perfect.
You will spend time weeding through as the plants begin to grow,
Throwing out what is needed,
Choking them off,
And inviting in sunlight and water,
Adding nutrients to the soil as needed.
But you just breathe and be as you watch your garden grow.
If you think of this garden as your life,
You can trust that the seeds that you plant in the rich,
Planned soil will grow with care and trust.
You just have to breathe and be present.
Year after year,
Tending to your garden,
Maintaining its growth so that you can be abundant in its riches.
Your herbs or flowers or vegetables will be abundant.
Take a moment or two to stand at the edge of your garden,
Just looking and noticing and smelling,
Taking it all in.
All of your hard work has paid off.
Take a deep breath in.
Open your mouth.
Open your eyes and bring your attention back to the space around you.
Maybe giving yourself a little hug of gratitude,
Letting a little smile come on your face.
And I hope you have the most wonderful day.
