For this practice,
You are encouraged to lie down in a reclined position in which your body feels most at ease.
This may mean lying on your side or on your back with your legs gently elevated on a couple of pillows or the seat of a chair.
You might set yourself up with some blankets for added warmth and a pillow under your head.
To allow for ease and comfort,
Shift your body with any small movements and adjustments before settling into stillness.
My voice will guide you through an awareness practice to support you in turning your mind and senses inward.
You may not hear every word I say or you may fall asleep.
Whatever happens for you in this process is fine and will be beneficial.
After some time of guiding you with my voice,
There will be a few minutes of silence.
You'll be free to extend your silence and relaxation or bring yourself out of your practice with some breath awareness or soft movement.
Allow your whole body to nestle and soften into the surface supporting you.
Let your breathing be gentle and natural.
